I use the Crosby G-209A, which are the high capacity alloy screw pin shackles: https://www.thecrosbygroup.com/catalog/shackles/crosby-209a-alloy-screw-pin-anchor-shackles/
These stay in my recovery bag because they are really nice and not cheap.
If you are concerned with maintaining Crosby...
I'm really bad at taking pictures, but here are the trimmed Rokblokz flaps on my Mojave.
The last pic, taken from the front, makes the flaps look like they stick out farther than they really do. They are flush with the outsides of the tires.
For the trimming of the XL Long flaps:
I trimmed just enough off the bottom of each flap to eliminate the 'RB' logo.
I trimmed the width so that the fronts are 1/2" wider and the rears are 3/8" wider than the Regular/Long flaps.
This results in full tire coverage. If I put a straight edge...
I think you have to look at it as paying for the convenience of being able to just bolt them on. Could you purchase generic mud flap material and make your own at a fraction of the price? Sure, but it would be a real PITA. Trust me, I've made custom mud flaps for several WRXs, a Legacy wagon...
I would also opt for the Selec-Trac 4Auto system for only $695. My trip to work this morning was a deluge of rain with lots of ponding on the roads ranging from a few inches to about a foot. Just pop it into 4Auto and forget about it.
That's a sharp vehicle! GLWS

Oops. My bad. I was thinking about the MB Quart 6x9 coaxials, but the Alpines have a tweeter and 6.5" round speaker.
One other question ... did you use the Alpine speakers with the factory Alpine Premium Audio?
Just to confirm, you connected the new Alpine tweeter directly to the factory 3.5" speaker connection and the new Alpine main 6x9 speaker directly to the factory 4" speaker connection?
UPDATE:
About a week or so ago I checked the loose driveshaft weight again, and it was definitely getting looser.
Yesterday, is was GONE. Never noticed anything when driving, but never got above 45mph during that time.
I went to my local small-town Chrysler / Dodge / Ram dealership this...
I suggest double-checking with Lucas to see if the 85W-140 has limited slip additives. It should. Some of my bottles state "Excellent for use in limited slip differentials. No special additive needed.", but other bottles only have "Excellent for use in limited slip differentials."
All I...
Thanks for posting this. I previously could not get my rear locker to engage in 4HI on my 2021 Mojave.
I just tried the steps as shown in the video and the locker engaged no problem.
I've been looking into the MBQ 6x9 upgrade. Are you saying that you bridged both the 3.5" and 4" speaker wires together on each side and ran them to the 6x9?
When I contacted MBQ about how these speakers connect to the factory system, they told me:
It will be dependent on what one of our...
My microfiber wash mitt always catches on both the side emblems and tailgate emblem. I removed the side emblems, but am waiting on removing tailgate badge until I figure out what to do about the holes.
In the mean time, I use a boar's hair detail brush to wash around the emblem and then either...
If the shop recommended 85W-140 non-synthetic then I would follow their recommendation. That way, if there is any warranty issue them you can tell then that you used what they told you to. Also, if you are regularly wheeling your Jeep then you will likely be changing the diff oil fairly often...
I run 8 on my 2-door JK, so I was thinking a minimum of 10 on the JT:
2 at rear x-member
2 at front x-member
3 each side along rocker area. I found that mounting them to the body just inboard of the rock sliders works fairly well and keeps them protected. If you get 12, I would maybe try a...
