This post is worth repeating...
As an ASE certified tech for thirty years (retired), I have seen it ALL. From no oil in engines (vehicles coming back on a flatbed with a seized engine) to many vehicles coming off hoists due to the lift pads placed incorrectly on vehicle. One fell from the...
I don't think your dealer would penalize you for starting another build. Actually, Firecracker Mojave's are unique (just did a search), and I would think that they would have no issues selling it if it is too late to cancel the current order.
Bad thing is you will have to start over if it has...
Yes, here in Wisconsin it is needed very much. Ordered Selec-Trac on mine as it was a must have after having auto 4wd the Ram 1500 that I traded in. As others have stated here, it is not a full time 4wd setting. There is a specific setting for that that is called part time 4wd.
I will leave it...
I am in that same club. 50 years riding and sold my last bike this year. I was dealing with seller's remorse for a time I must say. For me it was a combination of lack of use, too many deer on the road in my area and enjoying my JTM just that much. It keeps me smiling!
And after learning that...
A big thumbs-up for the cold weather package. I am in the upper midwest and already seeing lows around 40 degrees. I am using the heated wheel and seat each morning. So, so nice to take the chill off until cab temps are comfy.
Another must have is the LED light package if you do any night...
You are spot on. I did fail to mention that each department of a dealership (for all intents and purposes) are individual companies with separate costs and overhead. Many dealerships are under very large corporate umbrellas, and some still remain as privately owned "Mom & Pop" stores that sell...
What I did for my JT today? I called upon it to do the chore of pulling a tree stump from my property. A small 6" stump from a tree that had 2-inch thorns that I am happy not to scratch my arms on any longer while mowing. Not really important enough to snap pics though.
My JT is happy to have...
And yes, if you have a trade-in, it complicates the numbers a bit but if you are on your game, you can sometimes come out pretty good after all is said and done. ;)
As a former AZ resident, I have dealt with Avondale CDJR, Bill Luke CDJR, and the Chapman group in Phoenix and York CDJR in Prescott and Oxendale CDJR in Cottonwood. I was treated by far the best in Prescott and purchased a couple of vehicles from them.
As others have stated, go for the Tread...
And that is exactly what is happening before our own eyes these days. With online buyers becoming greater each day, traditional dealers are slowly becoming dinosaurs. A changing sales climate and Covid are some of the reasons behind it. Dealers know it too and career sales/management personnel...
Call and speak with the dealership General Manager directly. Then you can forward the texts that the salesperson sent you. It is clearly incorrect info. I understand that another dealership may not be in your local area, but really consider a different one. It may be well worth it. Good luck.
Some people do it themselves with Fluid Film and coat underside areas of their vehicles. I have never done it, but from what I have heard, a fall treatment will last all winter. You can pick up spray cans of this at Menards.
