Well the Maverick is the size that the Ranger used to be. The Ranger is the size that the F-150 used to be. The F-150 is just big. A flavor for all.
My girlfriend loves the idea of one of these. She had a Ranger years ago and loved it. Room for both of us and my granddaughter to travel. And...
No pics handy. But I keep the following in the under seat storage.
Vlair air compressor
Foldable shovel
First aide kit
A few flashlights
Two sets of ratcheting straps
Shopping bags
Miscellaneous tools
Ride is a bit more firm. But also feels more planted. Less body roll and wheel hop. I bought a set of Rubicon take-offs but one of the shocks was sketchy. So I found another set of shocks and the seller also had a set of max tow springs. So I bought the lot. Sold the original shocks fully...
I don't think the Willys and Sport springs are the same. The front Willys springs don't have numbers that come close to any other model. The rears are a mystery. Obviously the shocks are different. It has the JL Rubicon reds.
Just got done installing the Rubicon Fox shocks and Rubicon front springs and max tow rear springs on my Willys. Install was pretty straight forward. Didn't need to drop the track bar as I have seen some people do. Ride is a bit firmer but more planted. Less body roll as well. Total lift looks...
This thread went a little sideways. Lol
Anyone have an answer to my original question? What's the minimum breakaway torque and driving torque I need to look for to do suspension work and tire swapping?
Thinking about picking up an impact wrench for suspension work and tire removal. Don't really know much about them so I figured I'd rely on those more knowledgeable.
I just invested in a nice Dewalt cordless drill so I'd like to stay there so I don't have to buy different batteries. Unless of...
Color is generally the most important feature to me. It's the first thing you see. I wanted to order a Nacho Sport but missed ordering by a few days. I ended up ordering A Sting Gray optioned exactly like I wanted. In the meantime my dealer got in a Nacho Willys with every option I had ordered...
I actually found a video that shows it. I was under the impression that the trim pieces attached outside and around the grille. Not to it. That actually makes life a bit easier. I could get the satin grille and install it while I wait for the trim pieces to get painted. Now to get a quote on that.
That shows swapping the grille with the three trim pieces. The other poster said the trim pieces are not necessary with a Sport swap. I don't see how this is possible.
Interesting. Didn't realize the cowl pieces were plastic until I saw that drivers side piece break. They were always metal before. No dent worries if your door swings forward.
I've tried CG Honeydew and Hydrosuds. Neither has impressed me much. I get just as good of results from Meguiars Ultimate. I think I'm going to go back to using Zaino and hand washing. Used Zaino for years with excellent results.
