There is a market for them. Plenty of Sport owners buy them to upgrade their small tires. I sold my stock Willys KM2 mud tires for $700. Just the tires.
Some people say it improves the ride. Some say it doesn't. Most people do it as a budget lift. If you want an improved ride Mojave suspension seems to be the way to go. Most people say it's quite a difference. But good luck finding a set. And when you do it won't be cheap.
