Dayusmc , if you are deleting the ess battery, why bother with their tray system , why not eliminate the ESS system and battery then swap out the stock battery for a larger 94R battery which fits in the standard tray by removing the spacer at front of tray, it is just taking a screw out. I did...
Well I don’t know about “superior”, but I love steel hoods, wife’s JL sits in a garage at home and my company truck 2017 F-250 with “military grade” aluminum hood sits outside . We live in the woods, hickory , walnut and acorns fall in the Fall, Mojave hood they just ring out and bounce off...
Always amazes me what people drive out onto the beach, most everything you towed should not have been there, no air out of their tires, two wheel drive, and the white ford truck wow! We have towed a few people in our many years on the beach, but nothing like what you are doing, best tow was...
Going ok sorta!
Glad I am going back to work tomorrow I need the break, I had figured the engine mount bolts were long enough but with the bracket being at a slight angle, I think I will change them, going to bend the bracket a little first, either way want it flat. The exhaust loops are real...
Going pretty well instructions would have been nice, but that would ruin all the fun, looks like I have to drill a hole for the transfer case skid, I’ll call them on this as a 1/2 to 3/4 hole would have been nice.?
NO...NO...NO, do not swap N-3 to N-2, and put an unfused jumper between N1-N2.!! N-2 is battery power to the bus, N-3 is the fuse to the electronics. doing what you suggest is tying the electronics to the bus unfused. The simplest way to clean it up if wanting to remove the wiring is an unfused...
Cleanest way if you want to remove most of the wiring, as I am going to do, is putting the jumper between N-1 and N-3, Hootbro's post above sends you to a site , cost shipped I think was $12, It only has to be about six inches and will clean it up very much there.......Jack
Oops being a weight watcher, everything all together weighs 19.7 pounds, which is less than their claim of 20 lbs. so I can spray .3 pounds of paint , Ha!….Jack
Going to be putting an oil pan skid on my 2021 Mojave 3.6 engine. I really wanted to get a full body skid with UMHW, but could not justify the cost or the need. For my use the factory skids will do, but I wanted to protect the oil pan exhaust and transmission lines.
I liked the Next Venture as...
Andy, been following this thread as it is the size tire I also want on my Mojave, after reading every thread including your original post about wanting to cut the noise of your Wildpeak MT tires. Through the thread MT and AT seem to be exchanged a lot, and an example "Offaxis2021" his tires are...
This is just plain silly, everyone knows Mojaves are only good out in the desert in the sand, and as for why Rubicons and Mojaves can’t fit plows is simple that would be for work and all us Ruby and Mojave guys are about fun, work is for the Sports and Overlands, cause them guys are not all...
The bolts in the Metal Cloak kit are not the same thread as factory and are for repair when you have a split one, the factory bolts were a little short when doing mine and there is a thread here giving the longer bolt part number to get from dealer to make it real solid just like factory. My...
Have to chime in as I am in the same place as Xraytech, my situation changed when I bought an ARB fridge for in the bed for turkey hunting and surf fishing. I am going with Zamp Solar Obsidian hard 100 watt panel ( 3/4” high) with a charge controller, low mounting feet and a cord to connect...
Hey John, I'm thinking the ARB was sold, but just thought I would let you know that a great way to ship is Fastenal hardware stores, put it on a pallet and drop off at a store they will ship to nearest Fastenal store for buyer. I've used it a couple times it was cheap. Be cool.....Jack
I am sending David the 8” drop hitch, anyone need a 10” drop hitch, Andersen 8000lb rated 800 lb. Tongue weight, with me free is free, will arrive your doorstep. Figure some of you nutcases with huge lifts and tires might have cause for it, 10” is a lot, so really measure and see if it is...
