  1. Gladiator Max Tow vs Non Max tow option rip out

I guess just to throw ya in a tail spin of confusion, if sticking with the Dana 44 axles , and want the wide axles ….wait for it…….. What about the lower geared Rubicon transfer case ! Oh boy , here we go now!….Jack
  2. Gladiator Max Tow vs Non Max tow option rip out

I think it’s comes down to the axles, 4.10 gears instead of 3.73 and the width is nice if you are keeping the axles. You also will have higher legal payload capacity as what is on the door plate is it. Sounds to me like you are going big and doing at least 37” tires, and past that a lot of...
  3. Florida AEV EX high line bumper Gen2

Billy, you can have it shipped through Fastenal Hardware stores, must be on a pallet. Call one near sender, drop it off ,they ship to the store near buyer. I've done it a few times including shipping 400 pounds of tractor weights it is pretty damn reasonable.....Jack
  4. Fuse to tap to indicate the Engine is running.

Correct, can't have heated seats on in ACC, or if engine is in run but not running ! There is no power to the F-58 fuse when engine is not running, and in ACC, but there is if engine button is in run , but was not started , but heated seats still don't work. Been a long , long day at work, I...
  5. Fuse to tap to indicate the Engine is running.

Go to the Genesis website pick dual battery for JT there is an install video that shows install ,go to about 25.15 on video he states the heated seats only work with engine running and the fuse he taped was F-58. I will check it tonight when I get home to see if that is in fact correct, I should...
  6. Fuse to tap to indicate the Engine is running.

My Genesis dual battery instructions directed to put the fuse tap on the “Heated seat” fuse. They included a fuse tap to insert then just insert the heated fuse back into the space. Never really checked it but it seems to be an only engine on fuse. Would make sense also as could be a fair...
  7. New guy to forum

Welcome, my Gladiator is my best beach buggy I have had. This forum has a wealth of knowledge and pretty many really decent people! I run the east coast beaches mostly Delaware and Hatteras beaches , maybe I’ll see ya around …..Jack
  8. New guy or am I…….

ZeeJay, don’t sell your Willys Glady short, they are pretty damn capable stock, compared to most anything else with a long wheel base, the mud tires might make your ears ring after a long drive but they will shine off road. Sure there are a lot of us (me too) spending too much on their jeeps but...
  9. Back into the Jeep world!!

No way a Mojave can get 20MPG towing 5,000 pounds, I get 17-18 around town 19-20 highway, 13.5 towing in hill area, Delaware at beach gas mileage goes up a lot. I really want to go to skinny tires 255/80/17 , which are an inch taller and 1.5” narrower and could hope a tiny bit better gas...
  10. What's the Big Deal?

I did argue that they should be cheaper then the all black ones cause there is less paint on them, the $750 for four sucked but it was at the very end of the dealing, and we were at the point of ordering ones at dealer cost and he just said $750 and I said why not. Here I am three years later...
  11. Percy, the 23 JTR

I just did the Genesis dual battery and haven’t relocate my Warn control box still but it is going to fit above the battery somehow, Mojave has more room under hood, but Ibthink you might use your breaker and mount it on top of the two bolts holding the battery bracket down, solenoid and be...
  12. What's the Big Deal?

I don’t like black wheels hated the standard Mojave wheels to pay $750 more for the ones with some polished aluminum, dealer dropped price from $999. Still really like the aluminum wheels I see them on a Glady, but dropping that money for something like that when there are other functional...
  13. Back into the Jeep world!!

Rusty is old, I’m only 67, and still act seven!
  14. Short threaded “posts” on rear axle

It’s for the axle shock that some manual transmission sports come with. “Green71”, pointed it to us and a few got them. I did and unbelievably it improved my Mojave on the sand at dune crossings I used to get a hop at times and that has not happened since and rear has a “more solid” feel. Not...
  15. Back into the Jeep world!!

Nice choice on color, nice Jeep, perhaps will see ya around sometime. Easy trails at Rausch Creek were fun in my Mojave….Jack
  16. Does it make sense buying a Mojave?

Or go the other way and build it up from a sport, 39s you might want to go with Dana 60 axles, a lot the stuff you bought with the Ruby or Mojave including the lockers would get replaced but if you want to skip the 60s and want the front locker and disconnect And more importantly the lower...
  17. Tire tread Life

They look pretty good, my Wildpeakes have about 33,000 mikes on them and still great tread. Those are the skinny load range E tires, take up to 80PSI and only weigh like 52 pound each, I want to get that size when mine wear out, always wondered what psi to put in them to be at the weight range...
  18. Pulling 20' bowrider out at the boat ramp?

You are going straight on a wet or dry boat ramp , four wheel drive and low range is an option. Just go straight and don’t turn wheels until you get on top of ramp. Also put parking brake on before putting it in gear, and release it as you give it the gas. Nice boat!…..Jack
  19. Aux Battery, PCR, Wiring, Delete!

Yeah, but I'm not sure about tying direct to N2 main battery input to bus, N3 is fused ,jumper then takes it to the electronics, everything else is fused, the E Torque might not have the same wiring in the fuse block. I don't see the benefit and do see a concern....Jack
  20. Aux Battery, PCR, Wiring, Delete!

Looks good, jumper between 1 and 3 it looks like. the tray is the same as my dual battery one just a different clamp for one battery, nice job.! I think people worry about putting wires in wrong spot but the cutouts in the lugs match the slots in fuse block, you would have to work real hard...
