Plasti Dip for the bolts? Would definitely give you a black color for them.

You have nothing to lose by talking to the original shop. At the very least, if you don't like what you hear from them, you are free to go elsewhere and get real answers. If it were me, I'd be talking to the shop that made the conversion AND talking to a couple others that specialize in doing...

Personally, I'd talk to the shop that did the conversion and see what needs to be done to get it running correctly. Is it a case of the previous owner toying around under the hood and screwing it up? No credible conversion shop is going to turn their backs on a customer when a problem pops up...
