That's what I do - reach between the driver/passenger seat to the rear lock. I didn't want power windows or door locks on mine.

KO2s are what I have right now. Switched to them from KM2s, which are mud tires. Just my 2¢: You own a Jeep. Get used to paying quite a bit for quality tires.
