Wish I could find pics of the bike I had in my early teens.... .. I put a gas engine on it with a #35 chain going to a 60 tooth sprocket I pressed onto the rear hub. I used a centrifugal clutch on the engine. Pedal???
Sounds like a visit to ER Bill. ?

How many manual lock and window cars have you owned?
Back in the 70s thru 90s I got really good at repairing door window regulators and opening doors with slim Jim's when thinks got sticky or links came loose.
I guess it would be easier to remember how many electric windows and locks there have been in my life. Started driving in 1968 in high school, and I don't remember any electric windows until around 1981 or so when I owned briefly a Chrysler something or other. Sold it and the savings in gas (no kidding) made the payment on a 1983 Honda Civic FE--a model that didn't last long (underpowered) but honestly got between 48-52 miles per gallon on a simple 1.3L engine (I think.)

After that in 1984 my wife and I were off to Africa in missions work and came back to retire in 2015. It was all roll-up over there except for a few years at the end in a Ford Focus on the luxurious roads of South Africa. But in Malawi, Zambia, Congo, and Botswana, all roll-up 4wd Nissans, Mazda, and Land Rover. No wonder I'm old school I guess, or maybe more "keep it simple" 'cause it'll break somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

All the best...

Oh, and I forgot--also the Cessna 185 in the thumbnail--that was manual flaps, tailwheel, and flew anywhere!

First power windows and/or locks for me were sometime after 1995 - my first new truck, 95 F250 (well, my FIRST new truck was really a 1987 Comanche but that had nothing power but steering and brakes and it was as much fun as work)

Not much different than a minibike.
I have in my collection of antique engines, a small engine that sold in the 50s for just that purpose - mounted in the front above the front wheel and drove on the tire. There were kits, and then there were "universal engines" that were sold to motorize about anything you wanted. I simply used a 3 hp 4 stroke engine on my bike. The center of gravity was a bit high, but never had any problems.

my problem is unlocking you have to reach behind seat and unlock by hand. no key holes on back doors.
That's what I do - reach between the driver/passenger seat to the rear lock. I didn't want power windows or door locks on mine.

My bet is manual windows as well - so he'd have to unlock the rear doors to open them to roll the windows down in order to reach in and unlock the rear doors.
Unless someone has megahuge arms, all they have to do, while still sitting in the driver's seat, is stick their arm between the side of the door and turn the damn knob! I do it all the time in mine. If I want the passenger rear window down, I lean behind the passenger seat and roll the rear window down.

I drove my ‘73 Duster 340 until 2003.
That’s when I got my first Jeep. That had manual windows and locks as well.
