I'm going to throw a wrench in all of this- Jeep considers them different "Models", so I think it's only fair that people tell you which "Model" of vehicle they have.... Apparently Gladiators don't even have trim levels;)
All is well, friend. Thank you for the quick response. I think it is nice that you all keep active on this board.
I also appreciate the second clarification- that certainly clarified a bit further and does make sense (as I said- Wednesdays and I don't get along:) )
Have a good day, and thanks...
I appreciate your response. Nothing was "just misunderstood". Myself and a group of buddies were discussing upgrades, and we read this on your product page:
"for anyone looking to fit a larger set of wheels and tires, maintain ride quality with proper suspension geometry, and that primarily...
I kind of disagree with this- if you walk into a ford dealership and say you want a raptor, people know what you mean. A Ram dealership knows what a “power wagon” or “TRX” means. And if you go to a Jeep dealership, the dealer need only say “Gladiator or Wrangler?” And they know what you want.
In the same respect, a Ford Raptor is just a trim level, and so is a Dodge Power Wagon. But If you ask anyone what truck they drive they certainly aren't going to say they have a "Ram 2500" or a "Ford F-150" if they have either of those.
Rubicon indicates mechanical, aesthetic and electronic...
The Clayton setup isnt good for off-road… it’s a pavement kit per their guidance. i Figure it’s worthwhile to mention that. I a,most picked one up until somebody explained that to me.
Thanks for that response. My wife and I drove down there today- we live in Murfreesboro so figured we may as well take my new truck for a drive anyways.
The young guy behind the counter said "Im not going to charge you yet- why don't you go look at the trail head and if you want to tackle it...
Hey all. I have a brand new stock Rubicon. I want to take it to Adventure Off Road, which is about an hour away from me.
I figure I should ask but the “easy” trails out there aren’t anything this thing can’t handle, are they?
Hey Phil!
I think we discussed the AuxBeam mod I did a while back on my Sport Gladiator.
I'm pretty satisfied with the Gupton folks. The guy I worked with, Greg, was really unlike any salesperson I've dealt with before- He was just there to talk and chat. I think he knew I was going to buy, so...
As of 2 days ago I don’t have a dog in this fight due to trading in my Manual base Sport for an Automatic Rubicon, but the ”ultimately resulting in the potential reduction of engine torque capability” is unnervingly vague considering the Off-road reliability people expect these trucks to have...
Hey @ORACLElights ! I just traded in 1 gladiator for another- I had your LED headlights and got a ton of compliments. But because I didn't have the OEM headlights to put back in my rig, when I got my Rubicon yesterday I had to go with Halogen. Any chance you can kick me a code to get a decent...
I hope this is the best spot for this post.
I had a 2022 Manual Sport base model. I loved it. Then my wife decided she wanted to get a new Boat, and the weight of the boat on the trailer is a little over 4,000lbs dry, which means my truck was useless for towing it.
So, I decided to trade in.
I...
I wouldn't change a tire on the side of the highway. I'd either go until an exit or a clearing and pull pretty far off the road. If I could change it there, great, otherwise Im comfortable calling up the Gecko and having them come get me.
My pride will live to be bruised another day if I don't...
Ok, good to hear. I guess I'd much rather have the "we need you to baby this" warning too soon than too late.
Still a bummer to have a recall with no end in sight. I also really, really, really don't want to give up the manual. I'm happy to pay extra to get re-geared, and lockers, and all of...
Thanks. I am. I'm a bit disappointed in that, because I figured that would be a risk after meaningful amounts of time on rocks- not after 15 minutes and going into reverse twice.
I never thought I'd say it but dammit if I'm not thinking about investigating a trade in if the assembly is going...
I am showing a buddy how to off-road in a manual in my truck.
My buddy and I spent a total of 15 minutes "off road" yesterday. We made it to the little spot I wanted to go to, and while the driving wasn't as smooth as it could have been, he practiced getting it in 4 wheel drive, and for about...
