IIRC "headrests" which are known by the car industry as head restraints are a safety device and are not intended to have constant contact with your shoulders and head. They are there to protect you from whiplash in the event of a rear end accident.
I was once told they are uncomfortable to not...
To answer a question from many months ago. With 1k miles on my Overland MT, I've been getting 24-25 mpg Highway at 65 mph.
I bury my foot too much with stoplight driving to give a good indication of city mileage which has been about 18-19 though i could do better if I tried.
Reminds me of when i was a kid. A friend of mine thought it'd be a good idea to take half a pound of black powder, tape the container up tight stick a wick in and light it. He decided that inside a trashcan at a school was as good of place as any. Trash can disintegrated and it sounded like...
Awe that sucks. The salesman and Sales Manager submitted my order when I was sitting right there looking at the screen with them...
Now that i'm thinking about it when I ordered my Subaru, it was quite sketchy. I ordered over the phone never verified anything. That said they didn't make me sign...
Mounted some flaps, mainly to help keep snow, salt, and ice off the side. Mounting was prety easy except for the fronts. The factory notch didn't fit around the overland fender very well. I didn't want to cut out the running board.
Quick trip to the band saw made the notch a bit bigger and...
I was ready to get a controller for when I need one and was about to jump all over the BT one. After reading this and doing a bit of searching the Echo seems like a solid choice. I don't yet have a need for trailer brakes but it may come some day.
My main question is on the button, either on...
Double edge sword make the frame too strong and crash ratings suffer. I think there are more safety karens out there than people that get upset when their frame bends after they overload the vehicle...? Maybe not?
The manual seems kind of conflicting.
"Drive moderately during the first 300miles (500km). After the initial 60miles (100km), speeds up to 50 or 55mph (80 or 90km/h) are desirable.
While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good...
Comparing the fit and finish to the GMC Canyon i had, and the GMC Yukon my dad has your way ahead of GM with a jeep, much better built and better fit and finish. Stuff isn't falling apart from the factory at least. I can't speak for the new Nissan and Toyota. Those are probably pretty good being...
I'm baised against toyota and the tundra. Had to drive one for a work truck, hated every second of it. Gladiator is much better. I get 22 mpg high with my overland, the tundra got 12 on a good day. Mind you someone else was paying for gas in the tundra, so that may have had an impact
No honestly, I live in flat land. I'm talking 3-4 feet in elevation change over 10 miles. I also have a manual so the Oil temp and Engine temp are next to each other. I usually just leave the oil temp on the gauge, if i don't have the instant econ up. I like the instant econ as a gauge for how...
There are 3 Manual Rubicons within 250 miles of Columbus, GA. Your profile says west GA.

Snazzberry Overland Manual joined the club. Really enjoying the engine, it responds great, gets good mileage, and has awesome power. I like the transmission, I don't really understand all the hate it receives. If you think this is bad try driving one of the gen 3 colorado's with the 2.5L & M/T...
That sounds annoying. My biggest annoyance with the vehicle is the fan knob. WHY!!!! WTF is it doing front and center!? Wife takes a phone call and every time tuns the fan knob and the fan revs to full. Don't know why turning it down from Auto starts at full speed either.... I've tried teaching...
Through out most of my teenage years and early 20s i was always told by experienced drivers that "High revs kill engines". I've since learned that may have been the case in old engines but is not the case today. I came frome snappy 4cyl engines so the 3.6L is awesome. I have decent luck with 5th...
From my experience the base bare bones will hold resale better than optioned out higher trims. I bought a base GMC canyon drove it for 3 years and 45,000 miles and sold it for a loss of $1k.
Comparing a Mojave to a base sport is not a good comparison. There are a LOT of features in that $10k...
Well If i remove significant weight from the truck wouldn't that increase the separation between the body and axle.
Taking the top, and doors off now to get that 1/8" lift YEAH!
Not trying to dogg on anyone, don't take me seriously, ever. I'm just trying to inject some humor. Ya'll are so serious.
