maybe its just me. I like the sport hood the best. Clean simple lines that match the fenders bed, and contour of the door. To me it looks more traditional jeep. While rubicon looks "tougher" cooler. I like the more traditional look
This was my set up. I have a sport s and put 37s. I live at sea level. And it was adequate. Just less fun to drive. It never felt underpowered. The reason I did the gears was it made the driving experience fun again. Feels like a different motor. It was $2600 for a ton of fun.
I’ve seen different amounts published for the sport s. What are the ratings for sport s From my understanding. The only difference between tow and max tow is the wide axle and gear ratio. I know the axles are wider but don’t know if they are stronger. Someone can chime in.
in my case it was a machining defect on one of the pieces. But correct they should not be noisey. The only thing i do get is a little bit of brake groan. KInd of like when you put it in 4 low and partially press the brake. Im assuming is the lower ratio pushing through the braking a little bit
Im excited to tow with it. Just playing around though I hit the sumo springs pretty quick on uneven terrain. Just FYI for those that wheel a lot, probably need to really think through the distance. Right now im righ about an inch. Will update whenever I get a chance to tow.
They came with the lift and I did everything at once. I haven’t towed much with it either. For regular driving I really like it. I just got another trailer so now I need to tow it. Let’s see how it goes.
After adding in a total of another inch of spacing. That’s why I like clayton kit. I can go up or down by half inch to get it perfect. If there’s not enough contact I’ll add. Too much. And I’ll take away
Still too far. Going to add one more half inch plate. Clayton has an awesome set up for those that are unsure how much they need. They give you 4 .5 inch block
