I have not heard of any around here. Its mostly been Tundra, Hybrids and a mix of other cars. I just really don't want to be the one to find out and have to deal with that mess.
I have driven on some sections down here in South Texas like that and did fine not airing down. Would as others have said carry some traction boards with you just in case and a small shovel
I drive in sand occasionally. If I know its going to be hard packed sand then usually I would not air down. But some areas I go it mixed between hard and some soft and I will air down before. I would have my portable air compressor with me since I do not have on board air. Perhaps find out from...
I know there are a bunch of companies that sell underbody armor which most folks get for offroading. But I am thinking of maybe just buying a specific piece that would cover the area around the Catalytic Converter. I know from past discussions some mentioned that Jeeps are harder to get to. But...
Sometimes I still wonder how there can be such a difference in gas mileage. I went from stock sport s to adding some Rubi Take offs, no lift, etc. In the city I cannot get any better than 16 mpg and that is driving very mildly. On the Highway I get 19-20. Yet I am constantly seeing people here...
Going to likely be limited to what you will be able to fit under and close the top. I know on mine which is a Bacflip there are not a lot of standard containers that will fit under it.
I put Rubicon take off shocks on my Sport S assuming they would be a big improvement. I have not found that to be the case and will eventually be in the market for some new upgraded shocks.
Mine is my daily driver and like you I do 50 miles each way. I have left mine mostly stock due to this as everything seems to effect the gas mileage. I would like to put some better shocks on eventually which should not effect mileage. I been reading a lot of people changing things out under the...
If your truck only came with the soft top at purchase its possible those brackets were not placed there. I don't know why they just didn't install them on all the trucks regardless.
You will need to get those brackets from the jeep with the hard top assuming they will give them to you. They are a bit of a pain to get off. When I sold my hard top it took me I think like 30 minutes or so to get them off and give them to the guy who bought mine. I kind of wanted to keep them...
