TFL says 6k per FCA "contact" but I am waiting for the official number since nobody in the auto press is repeating that number. They have a hit or miss history with some of their details and if it really is 6K and that has not been officially released they may have pissed off FCA just like they...
Patrick might email you soon. Just got an update from him. 8/28 1:59am estimated ship. Seems a little suspicious. @WMWHV posted the same but they might all be running down the line at the same time. Who knows.
I don't really pay attention to the date order. The '20 builds (at least the list of order dates since march) are getting less and less and at some point they will close out 20 and start on the 21s. There is a lot of bad data sitting in that tracker which makes looking at pending confusing...
Most likely had to have the AEM flash from the ecoDiesel diesel settlement. That was however a different generation of engine so time will tell on this one. If I remember correctly there was a follow up ECU flash due to performance issues/complaints following the initial AEM update. I highly...
What are you towing at 31ft? I am looking at a Kodiak Ultra Lite that is about that length and although the weight is low relative to the length I am curious how it rides when properly set up.
You are mis-understanding this exercise. I am not trying to increase any published numbers of what the truck can tow or transfer weight taken off the truck to the trailer (with the exception of shifting the spare). Tow rating is an optimal situation with only a driver, I am looking at a real...
I am running some numbers for towing scenarios and one of the things I have come across is the excess weight of the JTR vs the Max Tow and how overall weight reduction of bolt on components could potentially reduce vehicle weight and therefore increase payload (i.e. swap a skid plate for a kid...
That rail yard is less than a mile from my office. It is unfortunate you can't pick up there. My Grand Cherokee took about a week to get from the Jefferson North plant to the Dealer in Delaware when I ordered it 5 years ago. If i remember correctly it stopped 3-4 times along the way at rail...
I just got my VIN from Jeep chat (21 JTR ecoDiesel). They claimed they were waiting for parts so i'm pretty sure it isn't in D1 yet. I just put it in the tracker.
Tow rating is just a number. The number to look at will be the GCWR. Previous manuals stated it as curb weight + 150 driver + tow capacity. We don’t know what the curb weight is but it looks to be about 412lb more by trim level looking at the Wrangler specs but the higher GVWR makes up for...
Sounds like the are starting the process of queuing 2021 production. Faster than I expected. What was your order date? Mine was put in 7/8 and no VIN yet.
FCA does have an engine in the pipeline. I don't know what the torque specs are but traditionally straight 6 engines have produced higher torque than the V variants. We will all have to wait and see how this new engine performs but it is promising that FCA is moving back to the straight 6...
haha TFL. Their antics are usually good for a laugh. Like I said, I will wait for the official release for the real numbers. There are multiple tow ratings on the v6 running from 4000-7650 depending on trim. They never mention a trim level and are vague about where that number comes from...
Simple fact is the towing number is just a number. Max tow is only that because of the stripped down options with the stronger axles and suspension and unless you are driving alone, weigh 150 or less with nothing else in the vehicle you will never hit that number. In the real world you will...
And you know it is 6k from where officially? Lots of speculation but the official numbers have only stated to slip out with the recent order guide stating it would have a 200lb greater GVWR than the max tow which makes up for half the additional engine weight. All that has been stated...
