Has anyone cycled the suspension to get the actual front compressed shock length with the diesel bump stops? I believe the initial shocks were the same as the gas version yet the bump stops are longer leaving some shock travel on the table. Would like to consider this when swapping out the...
I was looking at this yesterday. The differential and UCA mount fit tightly in a cavity right below the motor. It looks like a heat exchanger hanging off the motor is right above where the pumpkin stops. Lots going on under there... Noticed some ATF ever so slightly seeping from where the...
Thanks for that, makes sense, just wanted to be sure it wouldn't cause malfunctions with existing systems.
I want to level the truck due to not having enough up travel stock. I have maybe 2" at best and tend to bottom out on slow slightly rutted FS roads. The updated diesel TSB shocks came...
Stock JTRD wanting to level the front and add 35's. Will this cause any issues with the existing safety features? I want to keep everything intact for when the family drives my truck.
Also looks like I'll need a programmer for the tires, what stacks best with derringer and pedal monster?
If you add a remote filter in your cooling circuit you would likely reduce flow and thus cooling ability. I do like the placement, it would fit great there. I'm considering splicing in a cooler somewhere in line before or after the radiator. Will likely use the pictured derale cooler on a 12v...
I like that the EGR is still intact but not in use. I wish we could get a plug in tuner like the Derringer to just disable EGR under certain circumstances like EOT's over 230*.
Anyone know the flow rate through the factory heat exchanger? I think the adapter from insane diesel only flows about 3gpm. If we tapped in pre or post of the factory heat exchanger and used a remote mounted cooler with a fan and an inline thermostat to turn on the fan, we may have enough flow...
Interesting, how do you know the percentage of buildup? Mine has never stated its in a regen process as of yet. Definitely getting some highway miles and Ill have some miles with a few dirt bikes in the back up some long grades, excited to see how it pulls up those hills.
Many of the posts I read from different groups state that this truck should be driven hard for long miles. That's what it was designed for. They state that it shouldn't be used for short trips to get groceries or turned off and on multiple times as if running errands.
I read the owners...
I highly doubt its a bait and switch, looks like a SKU was transposed, its very costly for the seller to have these shipped and returned. No one would settle and keep them as the application is so far off.
Im just under 2k miles on my 22 JTRD and is has not derated yet, but I haven't towed anything yet. It does however get pretty hot, oil temps in the mid 230* range just driving around town or on freeway with 80* ambient temps. If it derates I plan on running the insane diesel filter with a...
Im in Diamond Bar and havent needed service yet (1300 miles) which dealers offer decent service? I bought from Tuttle Click Irvine and if the service is anywhere as good as sales, I'd go right back for service. I wouldn't go back to Puente Hills Jeep if the service was free based on how their...
I'm anxious to see where my temps get this summer, yesterday it was 75F outside, I was going 60 mph up a slight grade and my oil temp was 230F, coolant temp was 220F. Think I'll need the bypass filter and an active cooler, it easily hits 115F in areas I drive through in SoCal.
Just an update on my 22JTRD, just hit 750 miles, I've conquered many speed bumps faster than I normally would, hit expansion joints, dips and gutters, also I have to drive over an 8" curb with the passenger wheel to get into my driveway because the cut out is too narrow, no bottoming out yet.
I...
Jeep also leaves the door sills as just paint with no finish, the clearcoat has worn and the pant has scratched on all my JK's. I should have added the protector..... Same thing with the bed, they are leaving the finishing decision upto the customer. I would say of all mid sized trucks, the...
