I had a similar issue when I tried playing MP3 files on my USB thumb drive on my Gladiator (also with 8.4 display). I read an online thread somewhere else that UConnect can only read external USB drives 32 GB and below. I tried a smaller one (a 16 GB) and it worked fine. Even the correct album...
Finally finished up the steel bumper and winch installation. I waited for a steel bumper to show up on OfferUp and Craigslist, but no luck. Now that I bought one, there will be probably be new listings for them (for real cheap). A shoutout to the folks at BAM! After scouring the internet, I...
Thank you for posting this. I ordered a set immediately. The jeep should've come stock with this! Looked around a few different sites, and CJPonyParts had the best price when factoring in shipping and tax.
Which side steps are those? It appears to be contoured and fits with an even gap from front to rear. Many of the ones I've seen are straight and don't follow the body contour, leaving larger gaps at the front and rear. Yours look good.
I wanted a mount that would put the phone within easy reach, short cord, and least amount of obstruction (view, vents, knobs, etc.). I used the same phone charger (but used Ram mounts) on my JKU. The mount is a wireless charger, and servos will grab the phone when it senses the phone. There are...
Update 7-5-20: The shiny dead pedal dominated the view when opening the door, so I thought I would subdue it a little. I cut out a small sliver on the lower left side. Visually, it makes it appear to follow the contour of the left side kick panel.
I then gave it a couple coats of bed liner...
I thought they all came with locks as well. When I was shopping for my JT, I noticed that the locks were dealer added on items (along with security systems, paint protection, ext warranty, etc.). I'm glad mine didn't come with them since it was cheaper for me to buy on my own. Also, I really...
You might want to consider Gorilla 96641BDX, which is the black version of the same ones I got. It's probably easier to steal the whole truck (and dismantle somewhere else) than it is to steal just the tires/wheels, but I figured $35 was cheap insurance.
Finished cleaning up the installation of a dash cam. I went with DDPAI Mini 3. I had a Mini 2 on my JK and really liked it. The Mini 2 was better (smaller and removable memory), but the Mini 3 had some other improvements (you can read on a major internet retailer's site). I wanted one that was...
Installed wheel locks. I don't like McGard locks, as I've had issues with the keys breaking on those (when using within torque limits). I've always liked Gorilla (splined style). However, most were either too skinny or too tall. Then, I ran across these: Gorilla 96641DX, Chrome Factory Style...
I was looking for a decent dead pedal, but there seemed to be only two types: the one that bolts to the single bolt on the firewall and the one that bolts to the side. After reading some reviews, I went with one that mounts to the side, as they appeared to be sturdier. However, upon installing...
I had an experience when shopping for a new JTR. I found some advertised in Hemet with substantial discounts. The $60k MSRP was advertised just below $50k. When I finally spoke with some one live, they pointed me to the fine print. The advertised price included a $2k (Retail Trade in Assistance...
