  1. AEV DualSport 2.5 Install

Yes I have a steel front bumper and a 12K winch. That said AEV designed the lift to maintain the rake.
  2. AEV DualSport 2.5 Install

Technically I would have to shift the axle only 1/2" as you split the difference. I did not get an alignment but I will be getting one shortly.
  3. AEV DualSport 2.5 Install

So here are the before and after for the AEV lift. First pic is with the Terflex leveling kit to make room for the 35's This is with the AEV 2.5 (Teraflex spacers removed) Picked up a good amount of clearance as you can see (again I did not measure). It is definitely a noticeable...
  4. AEV DualSport 2.5 Install

Like many I have labored over the selection of a suspension upgrade for my JTMT. Ran through the usual suspects (Clayton, MC, Mopar) and decided on the AEV DualSport. I just felt like it was the most complete kit for the money based on how I was going to use the vehicle. Its my daily driver...
  5. Springs Damaged in Transit. Good to Install??

Vendor believes Springs are good to go but will do whatever I ask. I don't believe its worth returning and waiting on new ones. Yes there may be some premature rusting but one good trail will do more damage as some mentioned. Going to install them this weekend hopefully and hit them with some...
  6. Springs Damaged in Transit. Good to Install??

Thanks for the advice. I felt they would be fine as many have said. I told the vendor I am fine with how they look as long as they don’t rust away. Just waiting to hear back on what they feel is the correct action(it’s really on UPS). Again the vendor is awesome and I know will do the right...
  7. Springs Damaged in Transit. Good to Install??

Just got the springs for my lift delivered and the box looked like UPS ran over it with the truck. They obviously mishandled it and then tried to just tape it back up. Below is a picture of one of the springs. Its pretty scuffed up. All 4 springs have similar gouges and scratches. Are these...
  8. 2"-3.5" Lift Recommendations

Getting ready to install the AEV DualSport. Just waiting on one more box to be delivered. I went with the AEV as I felt it was the most complete kit for the money and for what I needed. It sounds like its a nice balance of improved performance on road and just a bit more capability off road...
  9. Curiousity poll

    No
  10. Soft paint. Hand wash only.

I love a clean and shiny Jeep and work to keep it that way. That said I have not lost any sleep over the multitude of pinstripes and off road scars my Gladiator has endured. I bought it to use it to its potential. In the end at times she will be clean, shiny, challenged, mud covered and...
  11. My solution to snow packed steel bumper

Pick better lines!!! Sorry had to say it :) Good solution. Some weather stripping/door molding along the bumper edge will clean it up nicely. Glad I live in Florida....do not miss snow at all.
  12. Mojave DIY Prerunner Lights

    I like it. Nice work!!!

  14. Soft top vs Hard Top noise

i don't know about soft top vs hard but I can say with my Sunrider installed vs Freedom panels it is noticeably louder especially above 50. That said I love the Sunrider and still consider it my best mod.
  15. Did you buy a Jeep that is a truck or a truck that is a Jeep?

I bought a Jeep that is a truck. Went from a JKU to the JT.
  16. You ever have a stranger compliment your Jeep?

Cute girls that I'm waaaay to old for aside. I get compliments on a regular basis. My amazing wife who I would never trade is always amazed at how many people just come up and want to talk to us about our Gladiator.
  17. 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers ride quality

Love my Ridge Grapplers. Pretty smooth on road and have been stellar off road. When I wear these out I will replace them with another exact set.
  18. Rugged Ridge Venator Front Bumper - painting the skid plate?

I also went with a black and bronze theme. I would go with black for the skid plate to blend in. I have kept the bronze truly as an accent (wheels, shackles, winch fairlead..etc) on my build. I think the bronze on the skid would make the skid a focal point (now if thats the idea then it will...
  19. Move Trac Loc to front and add detroit locker or ARB on rear

For the Terrain I deal with in Florida 1 locker in the rear is really enough. I just figured if I could repurpose the LSD in the rear why not do it.
  20. Move Trac Loc to front and add detroit locker or ARB on rear

I have a Max-Tow with the LSD in the rear. I do moderate off roading (Florida). So far the stock setup has done just fine but I know I will be tackling some tougher obstacles in the future. I am wondering if I can move the rear LSD to the front axle and then add either a detroit locker...
