You can just look at the linkage and see if anything has become disconnected. The linkage on the case is bolted on, but the cable itself is connected at both the case and the shifter using a ball and socket type connection. You can also check the cable to see if the rubber coating has damaged...
That was just my experience. When you have 177k miles, a damaged connector, damaged hose, and another hose that looks like I may have to be replaced it in the future, replacing all three wasn't the american way, it was the smart way.
But... I understand what you mean. Anything to get a few more...
It's not an expensive replacement. All three hoses with the connectors was only $150 at the dealer. $150 and a gallon of antifreeze is smart preventative maintenance.
I replaced my hoses last year (177k miles). I had what I thought was a small leak at the connector. When I went to remove the...
Replacing both hoses was the smart thing to do as they both connect to that connector. And hopefully the dealer was smart enough to replace all three hoses.
I've had the lasfit switches for 2.5yrs. There are relays and fuses inside the box. The box is sealed, you just have to unscrew the cover. I have two switches for the lockers and one switch for the rear lights. Looks factory and works.
There are two. One is in the middle for the T-case cable and Transmission connector and the other is at the rear for the e-brake cable. And they are bolted in.
I screenshot these pics from a video on my YT channel back when I had to replace the T-case cable.
Since I started doing videos, I have all kinds of crap now. But... I think I actually made an "L" bracket that I bolted to an existing hole in the frame for that video.
If I allow myself to sit and think long enough, I'll come up with something. The stuff that starts bouncing around in my head...
It's Timken bearings. But you can get the entire kit with shim from trailforged.

Have it properly diagnosed and checked by a shop because they will most likely start with the small things first.. It could be anything from your pinion like @VA6489 stated to the transmission like @Maximus Gladius stated. BLUF: Get it looked at by someone whose dealt with that issue before...
But, I didn't lose 2-3mpg at freeway speeds, I gained. I actually gained around town and on the freeway. Towing and not towing. Sometimes I drive faster than 70mph, but not when I'm towing. I get the best mpg when I'm out rock crawling.😁
Well... Wait! I went deeper gears and I gained. Other than mpg, I don't have any numbers. 0-60 times is something that I never even considered or cared about. But... Even though I didn't care about MPGs either, I do know that I gained.
A lot of people that used to be Wrangler owners now own Gladiators. Which is crazy! The few of us that have had our Gladiators since 2019 remember when no one wanted one. The truck community and the Jeep community hated them. No one wanted to be associated with a Gladiator owner. But I know a...
The factory Mopar cover doesn't come with support rods or the mounts. When aftermarket companies started making similar covers, they added the support rods because the Mopar didn't have them. I'm on my second Mopar cover.
It is possible that Mopar could have changed for the new covers to...
That's what I make videos for. Glad it helped you. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the top.
I would suggest that you call them frequently to see when they'll be back in stock or to see if there's a list. Maybe you can be one of the first to get one when they get back in stock.
Good...
