  1. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

"a silly or inept person." (Oxford dictionary) it must just be UK slang.
  2. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

Reassuring I'm not the only wally though!
  3. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

Not at all, completely my stupid fault. But IF an engine was left running accidentally it'd be nice if the lack of key proximity started a process that ended with the engine off.
  4. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

    Possible future Tazer modification??
  5. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

ESS was on but obviously not 'active' at the time. Agree ref CO but this is a huge, ventilated parking garage under the apartment block, CO couldn't have got to dangerous levels thankfully.
  6. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

About an 1/8th of a tank.
  7. Why didn't Jeep foresee my stupidity?

I have been impressed by how quiet the 3.6 is at idle. Not anymore.... 1900hrs last night I parked in my basement, unpacked what little shopping I had, locked the JTR and left. 0530hrs this morning I went down to the jeep to go to work and to my surprise the headlights were on...so was the...
  8. Gladiator manufacture date? How do I know when my Gladiator left the factory?

Thanks, so MDH is manufacture START date/ time not end? Is it a general assumption then that a JT takes a week from start to finish?
  9. Gladiator manufacture date? How do I know when my Gladiator left the factory?

Quick question. My DOM is 10-20 but the MDH is 092512. How does this work as one says October the MDH says September?
  10. Thoughts on these Brand Tires!!

I ditched mine because I didn't like the noise.
  11. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Fitted new front LCAs from the Mopar kit to compliment my 1.5" puck lift. 190lb/ft with the JTR on the floor is seriously hard work!
  12. LSPI / Engine Knock - how many are using ESS?

I'm not sure I see the link with ESS and the noise. Summer I tend to disable the ESS (it's hot in the Middle East and I need the aircon...) and now I disable until the engine is warm but then let it function normally. If cylinder wash happens on ESS, why wouldn't happen every time you turn the...
  13. Gladiator model

This Airfix Gladiator may be out in the US already but gets released in the UK early 22. J6039 QUICKBUILD Jeep Gladiator (JT) Overland (airfix.com)
  14. How do you deal with a wet tent?

I'm looking to use a RTT for some overlanding I'm planning to do in Europe. Weather can be unpredictable so how do RTT owners cope with a week of rain when touring with a tent? can they be folded, day after day, wet?
  15. Thoughts from a new Gladiator (and Jeep) owner after a 1100 mile drive home.

I must come from more basic cars as I love the Android Auto in my JTR. Connects seamlessly, picks straight up on the last thing I was listening to and the mapping (both Google and Waze) are great. very occasionally it doesn't recognise the connected phone but unplug and re-plug it's fine.
  16. One for the Jeep lover

Having admired a friend's one, I was given this at Christmas. It's an aluminum Baier Ges Gesch Jeep Lighter, cigarette holder and ashtray c. 1948. These aluminum lighters were produced 1948-49 in Germany in honour of the western nations taking part in the Berlin Airlift. They're made from the...
  17. Gladiator Glamour Shots

    Last week's desert trip
  18. When NOT to air down?

Yes, happy with the logic and boy does it work on the sand. Snow? Most winter wheel set ups I've used (stationed in Germany) tend to be far narrower than their summer equivalent - but is this trying to increase ground pressure on the hard surfaces a car would drive on?.
