When you need your tackiness to be seen at night too. In my area, the dudes driving these bro-dozers with the illuminated wheel wells / wheels, the coal rolling exhaust, the hillybilly rap emanating from the custom stereo, etc. are also the ones most likely to be intoxicated and carrying...
They aren't hot at all - and I'm in South Florida with the Sunrider open any time it's not raining. My friends and co-workers don't have any complaints either (though I hear if you select the color red, they fade pretty damn fast).

If something is sitting there slowly cooking then I'd imagine I'd be able to smell it when parked in my closed up garage - which is where the Jeep lives in between weekends.
Ok...I just opened my white retro wheels (same ones from @Quadratec) which I received probably six months ago (long story) and I was surprised to find the name "LYNX" stamped into the center caps. Meanwhile when I ordered, the center caps were clearly shown to be plain / smooth....which is nice...
So, the Q that's now molded into the center cap, is it protruding is a way that would prevent the application of the "retro" red/white/blue center cap sticker?
I swear all I see are Rubicons. I see way more of them than any other trim....with Willy's coming in 2nd and Mojave (if limited to Gladiator) coming in 3rd. It's almost a rarity I see a blank hood like mine.
These things, which I have to see every day (the fabricator is immediately local), are the reason the word "tacky" exists. I mean, they are the vehicle version of the mullet and the t-shirt with the sleeves cut off.
