When you need your tackiness to be seen at night too. In my area, the dudes driving these bro-dozers with the illuminated wheel wells / wheels, the coal rolling exhaust, the hillybilly rap emanating from the custom stereo, etc. are also the ones most likely to be intoxicated and carrying contraband. It just amazes how much they try to attract attention to themselves as they drive from bar to bar, from day drinking to the early morning hours, blowing their train horns and doing parking lot burn outs.

There is a great video of a guy in a Corvette attempting a burnout. Engine revs up, (he apparently in in a higher gear) engine drops rpm a bit as it encounters the load, smoke begins to emanate from under the vehicle, but...uh-oh, not tire smoke. Driver apparently thinks he is doing it right, but clutch finally gives up entirely. No tire burnout, but probably a couple thousand dollars in clutch repair!! Luckly it was a front engined model, not the newer mid-engined one.

I mean it's not like it sticks out like a sore thumb like the angry grille. when they are off, they are completely discreet. and if you pair this with rock lights it can help your spotter see where your tires are positioned on the trail. comparing wheel rings to the angry grille is wild!

I know this crap has been around for a long time. But absolutely would never ever put on my Gladiator. It's hideous just like angry grills. Both are stupid looking. May as well put spinners on it.
