  1. How do Gladiators handle on the highway?

I traded in my 2019 Audi A4 Allroad on my Mojave. I knew what I was getting myself into because I also own a 2014 JKR. The Gladiator is a completely different experience overall than a modern Audi. Is it a worse experience? That all depends on you and what you are looking for. If you are...
  2. Mopar CAI - Individual Parts?

I like the idea of the Mopar CAI, but only due to the larger opening of the air box cover and intake tube. I'm not a fan of 'high flow' air filters, so I would still use the stock paper filter. Also, having a Mojave, the additional hood opening is not applicable. So, does anyone have the part...
  3. Rhinohide Armor opinions?

It depends on what you are looking for - permanent or temporary. You can have the entire outside sprayed with truck bed coating. You can also have PPF applied or, similarly, vinyl wrap material. IIRC, there are also some heavier weight textured vinyl wrap materials available. There are also...
  4. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

For those of you playing along at home ... I think I may have found the Some electrical component that would be active without the engine running and would change based on road speed (???) that I was wondering about. The electric power steering pump. I believe that the pump motor speed is...
  5. Rhinohide Armor opinions?

It's a neat idea, but these look like they would rub/chafe the paint under them. There is no way to keep dust or dirt from getting in between the panels and your paint. Maybe if they had a bunch more mounting points that held them off the body panels slightly then that wouldn't happen. It...
  6. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

Thanks. That's exactly where I'm at. Noises can be super tricky to pinpoint I was actually thinking about changing the front wheel bearings because it is a fairly simple job, but then I had to stop myself for a reality check. I told my wife I was going to bring it to the dealership to have...
  7. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

I know I said I was going to forget about this, but against my better judgement, I've kept looking into this... It is more of a challenge to me now to try to figure it out. I aired down my front tires to 28psi and the noise is still there - it sounds exactly the same and happens at exactly the...
  8. No Pads To Be Found???

Rockauto has several different Powerstop pads listed for the rear, although I have no idea if their online catalog is correct: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/jeep,2020,gladiator,3.6l+v6,3444100,brake+&+wheel+hub,brake+pad,1684 IMO, I'd just put Mopar pads back on it. My local dealer...
  9. Factory Alpine Premium Audio - MB Quart Dash / Soundbar Speakers?

I have the Alpine Premium Audio with 8.4" screen. Like a lot of people, I'm not all that impressed with the sound quality. After reading up on the subject, my plan was to upgrade the dash corner speakers and the sound bar tweeters with the 3.5" Kenwood Excelon KFC-X3C speakers to brighten it...
  10. Catch Anyone Pretending Your Gladiator is Theirs?

I was at a car show once with my restored 1973 Land Rover 1/2 Ton Air Portable (weird military Land Rover). I looked over and saw a guy with his foot up on the front bumper, talking to a group that had formed in front of him, telling them all about it and apparently fielding questions. Now...
  11. Tailgate Cable Length

My 2021 Mojave is like this as well, but only with no load on the tailgate. If I push down on the tailgate, the other side cable tightens up, so it is a very small difference. I'm assuming it is either cable length manufacturing tolerance, tailgate hinge alignment, or a combination of both.
  12. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

Well, I did a little more investigating of the noise. It is definitely not engine speed or wind related. Changing trans gear has zero impact. I taped up all the gaps around the hood, cowl & front windshield and no impact. It is 100% related to road speed. With everything off (radio, fan...
  13. Connecticut Sold: Rubicon / Mojave Rock Rails For Sale - Only $25 !!

I have a set of essentially new take-off rock rails that came on my 21 Mojave. They were removed at roughly 25 miles and within hours of taking delivery. Very carefully removed - these never touched the ground, they were put right into the box that my Overland side steps came in. Only $25 ...
  14. Feeling audio in steering wheel

I installed a MORE dead pedal, and I can really feel the bass in it.
  15. Terrifying issue with forward collision system malfunction - anyone else experience?

My last car (2019 Audi A4) would engage automatic braking due to exhaust condensation clouds from the car in front of me in the winter. Imagine being at a red light, it turns green, you all start accelerating then your car hits the brakes. I specifically ordered my Gladiator without it.
  16. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

I was poking around a little on the JL forum. It sounds a little like the electronic throttle body noise detailed here: https://4wheeldriveguide.com/jeep-wrangler-high-pitched-noise-all-fixes/#JLU_Jeep_Wrangler_High_Pitched_Noise If that's the case, then it's just something that's the nature...
  17. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

Thanks, I appreciate that. You definitely have to listen for it with the radio either turned down or off.
  18. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

I've got a JK on KM2s, so I know tire noise. What I'm hearing is not tire noise. I've got the AT tires on the Mojave, and they are actually fairly quiet. It is definitely an electronic sounding noise. It is a little higher pitched and sounds like the brushes on a slower turning electric...
  19. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

No, recirc has no effect on it. I may take a quick look to see if dropping the fan is easy. If so, I might take a look in there anyway.
  20. Unusual Noise at 40-50 mph

I have a 2021 Gladiator Mojave that I've had for about a month. So far, I'm really liking it, but... It makes a noise that sounds like my HVAC fan motor is running at low speed, but I can only really hear it at about 40-50 mph. It is more of an 'electronic' sound like a motor running. My...
