I agree. There are quite a few connectors that I feel are a poorly thought out design. I had a YJ in the past and we currently have the JT and a JK. The door harnesses in the JK are more durable and with bigger pins. There was no reason for Mopar to go to a less durable and smaller pin...
On my youtube channel, there are a few things I always so. One is constantly check your vehicle or issues. Especially when you come off the trail. And if you have issues, make sure you find out what the issue is before you start spending money replacing parts. Deleting a battery or changing to...
Yes, and it also gives you two extra aux switches, requires no programming, and its easy to install.
Side note: I just realized from the pic that my dash is dirty as hell!!! Good grief I need to clean this thing!!!???
This may not exactly answer your question and I apologize for that, but you have the option of using whichever switch you like. One option is to use a lasfit switch to operate both your rear and front locker.
I replaced my first set of batteries at 50,000 with a set from the dealer. And that was after they initially gave me the wrong one and it cost me a cross town trip in the JK. Lol.
Replaced them again at 132,000 miles with a batteries from Autozone. I think I saved around $150 or more. Same...
I like your idea as well. Although I may be a little bias because I have mine on my roof rack now. I posted earlier from before when I had it on my bed rack, but now they're on my roof. I might go to a full tube one day.
I put e-lockers in my overland. A lot of times I only use the front locker and I haven't noticed any difference in the operation at all. With the computer or anything else.
Just make your own. Back when I had my bed rack, that's what I did. I even designed it so that it swivel upwards to access the inside of my bed. Don't know if it'll help ya, but maybe it'll give you a few ideas to make something similar.
Here's a pic from over a year ago when I had it and my video.
So, while traveling and camping, made a stop in LA to go fishing. Met this guy and his family camping in a military vehicle. He's from France so there was a language issue. But, he told me that he had his vehicle shipped from France to Canada. He's driven down the east coast, through the US...
You might want to go to the website and see if they have the measurements for the winch spot on LOD bumper. Most bumpers where the winch sits down inside the bumper will only accommodate a winch that's about 22". Most bumpers where the winch sits on top will accommodate bigger. Most being the...
Correct. It doesn't do that after you add lockers. Once I added lockers, mine didn't do that anymore. Also, the switches are default to locker mode. They can also be used in standalone mode. In other words, like regular switches. So, maybe if you switched them to standalone mode, it might not...
When I'm out crawling and I need to use a locker, I use my front way more than I use the rear. Hell, I went for three years without them at all. Added them as a want, not a need.
I have the Lasfit switches for my lockers. I understand they don't have the programmability of the stock switches but they were a simple install and I just didn't want anything else electronic added to the stock electronic system.
I guess it all depends on what your use will be. If you want the...
Ok, I understand that. If you need all of that, then factory is the way to go. I have the stock switches on the right, but installed Lasfit switches on the left for my lockers. Two of the switches are normal but the other two have two different modes. And my stock switches are all set to always...
