If sounds like the owner did. Wonder if they left the fob in it too? I've never tried it, but I would think with all the other nanny crap that the transmission shouldn't come out of park if the fob isn't present.
No pics in the article, but sounds like the Gladiator is in bad shape. On the plus side, apparently it sliced a telephone pole in half, and the thief was still able to get out and run.

I never have either. I havent even removed it from the jeep. Just plugged in the usb after waiting the 30 seconds or whatever for it to power down.
But like I said in the OP, I'm at least a few updates behind. I haven't had a real "want" for anything added in the last few, and I have not...
Just saw they updated the firmware again yesterday. Looks like this is mainly if you use the PIN lock feature, or the AutoParkKill feature.
I'm a few updates behind, and everything seems stable where I'm at, but as always, if you are having issues that are truly caused by the Tazer and not user...
Glad you got it figured out. Just curious, did you consider a Tazer instead? It costs a bit more, but does the light show stuff (utilizing the oem keyfob or sheering wheel buttons) plus a TON of other features a lot of people like.
Keep in mind, you pretty much MUST unplug that speed turtle bypass module and reconnect the security gateway before taking your Jeep to the dealer. They won't be able to properly use their diagnostic equipment, and could potentially even damage your Jeep's computer.
I had never heard of this either. But the directions they post on their website seem clear enough.
You need to unplug the 2 cables from the Security Gateway way up under the dash above the OBD port, and plug those cables into your new bypass module instead. Pretty much just like connecting...
Last night was both New Years Eve and my official retirement date.
Went out in style.
That's a Muestra de Saka Unicorn I'm smoking.
Hope everyone here made it safely into 2023!

Officially, I retire in a few days at the end of the year. Unofficially, I retired almost a week ago. Burning some leftover vacation days until my retirement date.
Makes me wish that maybe Mopar, or even Zautomotive's Tazer could add a high beam trigger to the software programming for the mopar switches. They already have other programmable features, seems it should be fairly trivial to add some code that says "IF hi beams = ON THAN aux switch X = ON"
I'm guessing the OP's local is a lot like mine, and probably a lot different than yours. I only say that because the tallest mountain in Iowa is something like 1500ft? I deal with almost that much elevation gain just getting to my house from town, and they call my neighborhood "the hills". You...
It's ok to want flexibility. But realistically, are you really ever going to want to use your offroad lights without your high beams on as well? I initially thought along the same lines as you, and then I thought back to all my prior years of off-roading. I could not really think of a situation...
Yeah, when there actually is no crime being committed that's called "brandishing" and is illegal in most places. You don't get to wave around your gat every time you think someone looks "sus".
That clip is metal. I can't imagine he broke that? There is a plastic piece that then pops into the rectangular hole. I could see the plastic clip possibly breaking if it was not aligned right and forced. Or it was brutal cold out.
I remember thinking at the time the setup seemed a bit of an...
I have the Mopar OEM as well. You probably don't realize how many have them installed because there are so few complaints about them. I have none. Rereading the OP post, is it a clip that broke, or a tab on the defector itself.?
Most vendors will ship a replacement for a defect right out. If they even want the old one back at all, it's usually after you receive the replacement. So in your case, you could just take the clip you needed out, toss the broken clip in, and ship it right back.
Second this. Ya need the high beams to see further down the road, but losing both the low beams AND the fogs really reduces the the light closer to the front. Adding the fogs back in helps for that.
What helped even more was adding a lightbar with driving light pattern leds in the middle, and...
