  1. Merry Christmas, first accident, ugh

    that reflection looks familiar....
  2. Dealer versus Taser programing

See, this is what I get for waking up in the middle of the night (it was after midnight here) and posting while trying to fall back asleep. I know this. I have AlphaOBD myself. On my phone. Just a brain fart. Sorry. You mentioned doing it for plowing. I was thinking more along those lines where...
  3. Dealer versus Taser programing

See, to me that sounds like a perfect reason to use a tazer. Instead of a cable running under your dash to your phone, and worried about the cable interfering while you are driving, and messing with an app on your phone with Jscan, you just hit a button on your steering wheel to engage a preset...
  4. Dealer versus Taser programing

There is. It's called AlfaOBD. But neither that nor VCDS can do some of the things that the Tazer can do. To potentially be able to, you would need to keep your laptop connected and running that program at all times.
  5. Dealer versus Taser programing

So maytbe this will help. When you Marry" the tazer to your Jeep, it looks at all the settings it can possibly change, and makes/stores a backup of those settings as they are at that point. If you previously made changes with say Jscan, or the dealer adjusted tire size, those will be stored, not...
  6. Dealer versus Taser programing

Update your Tazer firmware. You can now leave it in if the dealer is "Tazer friendly" without a problem.
  7. Dealer versus Taser programing

The Tazer? No. It's a feature that's been asked for. At the very least, you should be able to config it via the usb connection and laptop/tablet, and save the config as a file on said device. That would make both initial setup restoring after remarrying much simpler. I don't believe that would...
  8. Remote Start Stopped Working

Well, that info is right in the description of the extension cable when you buy it. Guess they figured that was explanation enough?
  9. Dealer versus Taser programing

It's a "live" feature of the Tazer, so it probably can not be done by the dealer, or with Jscan/AlfaOBD.
  10. That was a little sus…

Nah, when it comes to that, we're just mad those 2 radio star killers then attempted to assume the identities of 2 of the radio stars they killed (Anderson and Wakeman).
  11. That was a little sus…

Guess you'll know in a day or 3. If your Gladiator get's stolen, it was "sus".
  12. LED Tail Light Swap Issues

Did you do the required sleep cycles after rebooting the taser?
  13. Is there a product to extend the hood all the way back?

I seem to remember reading about someone who added a set of JK hood bumpers to the right place to catch the windshield frame.
  14. I Love Winter... Post Your Snow Pics ❄️ ?

We got 2ft of snow where I am in NH the other day. Also lost power for about 24hrs. This pic was after I had already cleared the Jeeps off twice, and plowed once.
  15. Tazer Mini proximity lock issue?

99% of Tazer issues seem to be related to operator error. You need to follow the instructions EXACTLY or you will likely have all sorts of problems. It's not hard, but this is not something you just plug in and "figure it out". You must properly marry the tazer when you install it, and do the...
  16. Tazer Mini - bed lights?

Yea, for what, 30 seconds? With the Tazer they will stay on for up to 30 minutes. Unlock 5x and the reverse lights also come on as well. Both very handy to have this time of year when you are loading/unloading stuff in the dark.
  17. Snow plow

But you are an educated man who takes care of his stuff partly because he assumes the responsibility for his stuff. You sir, are becoming a rarity. The plow manufacturer has to assume someone is going to leave that thing on year round, drive at 75mph with it, and then lay a McDonalds hot coffee...
  18. Snow plow

I run a municipal maintenance dept. (for another 5 work days before I retire, whoop whoop!) Most of our smaller plows (1.5 ton trucks and smaller) are Western UltraMount2 setups. It literally takes a minute to install or remove the plow. So those usually come off if there is no snow in the...
  19. Snow plow

Not sure about your plow on our Gladiators, but generally when you get into the nitty gritty spec'ing out a plow for a vehicle, there is often a recommended ballast weight for the plow. You add weight way out front, you are supposed to add weight in the back to bring things back to the proper...
  20. Snow plow

What about at highway speeds? (Yes, every plow for every truck says max 45mph. How many people drive 50-55mph or faster with one on?) What about above freezing? What about highway speeds, above freezing, and with max rated payload? It might be fine if you put the plow on, did your driveway, and...
