I always forget that you need a Tazer to activate the hood alarm. I have NO idea why Jeep did not enable that feature themselves, since all the hardware is already there, and the vehicle doesn't come with a locking hood.
See, I'm the exact opposite. I'll take cold and snow over heat and dripping humidity, hurricanes, dinosaurs, ,snakes, lizards, and cockroaches the size of baseballs every single day. Besides, if I'm cold I can always put on another layer. If I'm hot, there is only so much I can take off before...
I considered adding a second battery though an isolator and running the plow off that, but then they gave me a new truck, and... I only have 12 days left of work so I barely care.
When it happens on the Ford, whatever system it shuts down stays shut down until you cycle the ignition. So you would have to be monitoring the voltage while engaging the pump motor.
I just got a new 2022 F250 a few months ago, and it just came back yesterday from the plow install. Of course, I...
This may or may not be barking up the wrong tree....
How low does your voltage drop when you are using the plow, especially when you hit the limits and you hit the bypass valve on the hyraulics?
One of my late model plow trucks at work will randomly lose non-critical "features" only while using...
I think I would install it, do the sleep cycles and stuff, and see if that fixes things. I'd probably also shoot off a msg to Z-Automotive to see if this is something they've encountered before. First I've heard of it. Might save someone else a headache down the road if that's all it takes.
But did you make any tazer setting changes around the same time as you installed the radio?
I guess it's possible that since the radio is so integrated into the the Jeep's computer systems, simply changing the radio changed enough internal settings that the tazer needs a proper reboot as...
You didn't mention a taser in your original post. That was the first thing I thought of, since that is such a common result of improper use of the taser that it's predominately mentioned in the user manual.
I'll point out that the JScan page does not list that adapter as recommended for the JT Gladiator.
https://jscan.net/supported-and-not-supported-obd-adapters/
Not saying it wont work,or that's the problem. But means Jscan probably won't be much help.
Tailgate ajar? That something new in 2022? Mine has no indicator that the tailgate is open, and since the vehicle is DESIGNED to operate with the tailgate ajar, it seems odd that doing so would cause issues.
Sorry about this. Reviewing his activity, IDK about the account jacking. When he "came back to the group" he was also actively posting in a few other topics besides the sale stuff. Those post show a reasonable knowledge of the Gladiator. Sure, a scammer could have gleaned it all from reading...
Personally, if they are gonna steal 5 gal of gas from my Gladiator, I HOPE they siphon through the filler neck, because usually the way they get past a locking gas cap is to punch a hole in the gas tank, catch what they can, and let the rest hit the ground.
I play politics in RL every single day, don't need to do it here.
This is a totally apolitical question, with hopefully apolitical answers:
Why do you think the Secret Service had a Gladiator in the fleet? The other vehicles all seem like obvious secret servicey type vehicles. Not the Gladiator...
And it involves a Jeep Gladiator.
Every other car fire or accident that makes it to the news media and involves a Gladiator gets posted here too. Not everything has to be politically motivated.
Yep, looks like the listing is back.
I noticed 2 things:
First, the "store" lists pages and pages of unrelated items at hard to believe discounts (Milwaukee M18 circular saw for $55, Escort Max360 radar/laser detector for $125, for examples).
Second, the address listed for the company is for a...
