I checked and rechecked. I tried many different adjustments. But setting that aside the front lower cross bar was a 1/4 inch of the bedrail. I could it my fingers through it. Really moot now, I returned it.

I had one on a Dodge Dakota in the early 2000s. Worked great. Water tight Mostly, the gap by the tailgate let water in. I put a rubber gasket there. That helped.
