I have a small 3000 lb winch on the trailer already. With a snatch block I can pull my JK onto the trailer so a new winch is a want, not a need. I really like the line speed (28 ft/m) of the Apex winch and at $350 it was a great deal. The timing just isn't right at this time.

I agree, it's not pretty. However, it does work and is a quick and easy way to add a winch to a plastic bumper with minimal work. It's not for everyone.

The plate it comes with is the solenoid relocation plate, not a winch mounting plate.

With the plastic bumper, the Rock Hard mount is easier to install as you don't have to remove the bumper to install the winch plate.

I didn't notice anything significant with an original Badlands 9K winch mounted to it. However a JK has more grill opening than a JT.

The Rock Hard mount works well, I had one on my JK for some time before I changed out bumpers. It doesn't look too bad but it will allow the winch to block airflow to the radiator.
