I run the VOSwitch JL300. 6 switches and goes in the factory location. Installation was a breeze. The control cable is small and I ran it into the cab under the windshield and down thru the drivers speaker hole.
I like the look and it works perfectly. If I run out of switches (got one left on...
That's because how it normally happens is they are on the side of the road, usually multiple deer, and they bolt across the road when the vehicle gets close. Because deer will travel together, they all follow the first deer and one usually catches the third or fourth one as they are crossing...
Fucked up the tailgate.
I had to fix my JK's transfer case bushing and had dropped the trailer and the JK at a friends barn to do the work. Went to pick it up, dropped the trailer to the ball, the chains and the lights. Moved the trailer and we started to load the Jeep. Both of us forgot to...
If you don't want the hook, consider a safety thimble or a flat link. I wouldn't cut off the loop. I had a safety thimble and now have flat links on both my winches.
Then you can use the fairlead that comes with the winch and the line stays mostly shielded and you can use any style shackle.
I own 2 Apex winches. When I was looking to replace the 8 year old Badlands winch that finally failed I did a lot of research and comparisons. I was not opposed to spending the $$$ on a Warn on the JK as it gets abused. However, the line speed of the Apex and the cost difference sold me and so...
If you head back that way, The Good Evening Ranch is well worth the $40. It's got everything and it's compact. I go there at least 2x a year and it never disappoints.
Potts Mountain Jeep Trail in the Jefferson National Forest is also a nice day out. A couple of challenging sections and several...
This is a great event. Camping is free. $5 for a 1 day trail pass for Uwharrie. Big Creek and Grand Overland will be available ($40 for Big Creek, Grand Overland will be free to Veterans either driving or riding). The Boy Scouts do a chili dinner on Saturday for a small donation and there will...
The map update will include the head unit firmware IF it needs it. I took advantage of the $99 sale for the maps and I needed to update the HU firmware first. I can't tell if the new HU firmware did anything but it did all work once I was done with the updates.
The RSE's are probably overkill for me but I don't really like the AMP steps not to mention that every time I looked at them, no one, including AMP, had them available.
I do wheel my JTR occasionally so like the construction of the RSE's and they just continue to work no matter what I throw at...
So far, the only dealer calls I have had are on my 17 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. That's not going anywhere as I own it and my son is driving it.
My 2021 JTR can not be replaced with a new one. Period. There is not a Snazzberry option and between the options it came with and my add ons, the...
My JTR is the "family" vehicle. It's the DD, the run to Lowes truck, go to the pick n pull, take long trips and yes, mild off roading. We have been a Jeep family for years so we knew what we were getting into. If I want to rock crawl, I take the JK. That's the one set up for those trips.
I knew...
