ok, i looked into it and it'd be a huge pain to do this and i'd still have to buy a receiver when all i'm gaining is a class iv hitch over a class iii. sry man
I'm finally taking the plunge and wanted advice from people who have no skin in the game. I would like opinions on what i plan to do and I also have some questions on what's possible if i want to go another route now or in the future. So here is what I currently plan to add to my current system...
I'm not sure it would be better to have an unbelted dog flying around your vehicle or through the windshield during an accident then flying out of the bed. Both are bad, but I wouldn't say riding in the bed is exponentially more dangerous
What is everyone running as a DSP, for those who didn't change their head unit? I'm new to this world, so i'm a little slow on the uptake. I had a 12in JL in a custom box with a 250W amp and an LC7i in my JLU before i traded it in for my JT. But can't really use any of it now, except for...
You were only running a single 10 off that 5-channel amp right? Considering running the 5-channel amp with 2 10s. It just seems easier, but i'm worried it won't have the power. Although, I had a JL 12'' in my JL (lol) that was running a dedicated 250W amp and it seemed fine so one would...
What amp and subs are you using? Thinking about that box and two 10s as well. considering a 5 channel amp so i can upgrade other speakers down the line.
Does Gaia show trails or is it just a map? Got their trial version but it just looks like a map. Also trying the ONX version and they have "discover" that searches for known trails. I wish they had a discounted price if you already use it for hunting.
Does anyone have a preference on off-roading apps. I know about all-trails and On X, but are they worth paying for? Are there any other apps or websites people use? Preferably with difficulty ratings and comments.
On my JL i just took it to a garage. Think i paid 200-300 or something. Looking at the install videos and it doesn't seem too difficult, but once you're in there the baby's born. So wanted advice on how to make it easier.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to raise the front end of my gladiator to install leveling kit? I want to install this kit myself, but it seems I'll pay more for jacks and jack stands then i would to just take it to a garage. Would you just chock the back wheels and put the front on jack...
I'm worried there just isn't enough space back there. If all you're wanting is to add a little thump to your setup, i'm sure you could find something....one of those powered JL's or something. But i keep the top off for almost half the year here in Texas and I wanna hear it. I had a 12 in a...
Yeah, that was what I was looking at then, but they do seem a little bit bulky and cheap looking. I think I've decided on the BRP boxes and running 2 10s. They look to be a bit smaller profile and better protected.
