After the first couple of trail rides, I decided to stop caring about the pin stripes. Since then I enjoy trail riding so much more. I guess i’m in the badges of honor crowd, but i do touch up rock rash on the wheels.
Slight correction, i just read on the JLWrangler forum that Mopar did change the design of the sensors for later models, but they are not backwards compatible.

You’re probably right about them being made in China, although I did search for that and couldn’t find that on the Amazon product page. From what I have read on forums, Mopar has not fixed the original manufacturing defect, so if I went that route I would probably end up potting them anyway...
Passing this along in case anyone else is interested. Manufacturer is listed as WildGear, but that is the seller's store name. They appear to be the same as the one's in the Mopar kit. Only a couple of reviews so far. On the drive back from Moab this year, my rear locker light lit up on the...
Based on the video below, it looks like you have to use the trigger wires in that camera kit, rather than the software settings in the head unit:
Too bad the Heigh10 doesn't support the quad-display directly.
I would contact Stinger and ask them if they sell a video multiplexer for it. They sell a kit that includes cameras, which does what you want:

It works with your head unit, but you want just...
Yea, a hitch skid was a tail saver on my JT in Moab. Like you I did Moab in May of 2024 all stock, except for some extra armor. This year, May 2025, I went back, but with 37s and an Accuair lift that I could push up to 5.5" at height level 3. What a difference! Made Hell's, Fins and coming...
If you want easy and scenic, Onion Creek and Gemini Bridges are hard to beat. I suggest combining Gemini Bridges with Dead Horse State Park and Long Canyon Trail. Potash Road/Schafer Trail are an easy scenic back door into Canyonlands National Park. Also, the Gateway-Castleton Route is a very...
My setup is similar to yours. I am running Revolution 5.13 gears as was recommended by my 4x4 shop. Only a few weeks past the initial break-in. Been very pleased with how easily it sees 8th gear. The shift points feel good. Will be going back to Moab next month, so it will get a good...
Passing this along as a PSA. I just purchased a Z Automotive "Z Locker OEM", locker bypass and noticed there are a lot of knockoffs being sold on Amazon. Z Automotive is aware of this and posted a video about a year ago:
Apparently these fakes are also found on eBay.
I've got the same thing going on with my 3rd brake light. I just dropped my JT off at the dealer to have it replaced. It should be covered under my extended warranty for the $100 deductible, otherwise I would replace it myself. Lot's of good info out there, but posting a few here if others...
Enjoyed reading your build write up. You have a succinct writing style that conveys the information clearly and the topper looks great. May it continue to meet your needs for years to come. Kudos.
Same here after the cold front moved into Northern Virginia about a week ago or so. I finally replaced the battery in both key fobs yesterday and all is good now. No more intermittent errors from the Jeep not detecting the key fob. I know, that seems obvious to many of y'all. All I can say in...
Did a little more digging, this showed up on eBay, but the details say it is a second generation unit, where the details on the Ampire webpage says third generation. I have no idea what is different between the two generations.
Ampire Wfs400-pro Can Lin-bus Immobiliser With Bluetooth App...
Regarding the following from the beginning of the thread:
"...and hiding the unit in a different location, like underneath the center console or behind a rear interior panel."
Here is a good image and the source thread showing the rear panel mentioned...
