At $6500 a wrap is not viable for me. Ceramic coating is cool, but still won't stop the AZ pinstripes here.
I pulled off the factory protection and put a clear wrap on the rear fenders (all the way up and down) and called it good. Realizing that your vehicle is a jeep is a good cathartic thing to go through. Brings a jolt of reality into your life.

I have a 2020 as well. I take good care of my vehicles. I do occasionally buff out pinstripes, but even when I go out to the "desert", I seem to be a magnet for brush. I've been lucky to avoid any dings or deep scratches. I'm curious if the ceramic coating helps avoid/reduce light scratches. I'm considering the ceramic treatment. The DIY stuff hasn't really worked for me.

The product is not that kind of a wrap. It's $700 and covers the sides of the Jeep. You can put it on when going off road and store rolled up when driving the streets. Or you can leave it on all the time.

Back in my wheelin’ days….. there’s only so much abuse you want to take on the daily driver. We ended up buying & building a trail rig, buying a trailer, and a tow rig. 😊. After that…we didn’t care how much damage we encountered.

I‘m a grocery getter now…. and park in east Egypt to avoid shopping carts!! 😆
Not afraid to get it dirty or dinged…Everytime I wash it, there’s a new ding or scratch. “Where’d that come from??” 🙄

My husband has a nice new shiny BMW ….that gets washed every weekend.
The JT *takes it for the team*😆 …..

I was speaking of a traditional 3M style wrap - the same kind people with sports cars get. They are mega expensive - and they get marred up just like paint does.

We have pruning shears along for the nasty branches.

That's funny, my fellow trail rider and I have joked about this before too. Then I was watching some show about unique machines or something. They showed a truck with specially designed chainsaw/hedge trimmers mounted on each side of the front bumper for the purpose of cutting the branches back for the width of the vehicle. It was not a huge commercial vehicle either if I recall. It went by so fast I could not get a picture and it was some random show that was not able to stop it. Thus, the moment was lost.

After the first couple of trail rides, I decided to stop caring about the pin stripes. Since then I enjoy trail riding so much more. I guess i’m in the badges of honor crowd, but i do touch up rock rash on the wheels.
