It seems to me that bed rack manufacturers are over complicating bed racks and missing many customer needs. Too much focus on overlanding and attachments of fancy accessories. I think I'm not the only one that wants the following:
High rack, slightly above soft-top roof line
Simple with few...
Starting with this configuration with the SOFT TOP like this with the rear window removed:
Then add HALF DOORS like this that come with upper half for when it rains:
Then add a simple RACK like this:
But better if the rack can also be configured like this:
(No need for a folding mechanism...
This is my favorite configuration/look, but I haven’t seen anybody running this way. If it was only lifted on 37s. Post your pictures like this here.
Vendors... please build this... a bed frame like this black frame, but:
(1) Make the top high enough so it is well above the roofline of both the soft top and hard top, so that you can carry kayaks on top and bikes inside bed/under top. And,
(2) Bundle it with a special tonneau cover that...
I wonder how soon after the Gladiator is at dealerships, they will sell and install the 2” lift and 35” tires. I assume they will be able to calibrate the speedometer, of course.
I wonder if they will be able to and OK with calibrating it for 37” tires, but because of fear of liability...
So here is the first picture I see of under the rear seat without the optional lockable box. I actually like it better. It looks like a lot more storage space without the box. Although not lockable. But the storage space behind the back of the seat is lockable and if you don’t get the...
What’s the difference between premium soft top and regular?
Is the color/shade any different? Material? Extra functionality of how it folds down?
I head in a video that premium is more like “canvas”. What does that mean? What would help me is comparison to the stock soft top on a JK. is...
Someone make this product... by summer time :) Can someone photoshop this better?
A frame (one unit or in parts). Like this:
It could attach/fit like this maybe:
It should be removable altogether.
When on the Jeep, it can be as-is, or with just a soft top, or with soft top and sides, or...
I went to the first day of the Philly Auto Show today and took some pictures. The JT looks much better in person.
They only had the black Rubicon Gladiator with the hardtop, and it was on display. 40% of the time it was “guarded” and we couldn’t get close to it, but 60% of the time it was...
Does anybody know if the hardtop can stay on with the rear window/panel removed? There are no such pictures. Why? I wonder what it would look like.
There are only 3 pictures in all the Jeep marketing material with the soft top ON, while doors and rear window OFF. For me it’s a more what I...
First of, this is what I would get... a white Rubicon with a soft top... but only if offered with half doors. Then I would put 37 inch tires on it and some removable safari soft top for the bed.
But guess what? I’m afraid Jeep hasn’t designed the Gladiator with the half doors in mind. You...
I am starting a campaign to save the half doors, which are nearly extinct :punch: ... Jeep, if you're listening, please bring them back strong. To some of us they are as essential as having a soft top, even in the Northeast.
It seems production for half doors on JKs has been dwindling down...
