Hey,
Over the last coupe of months, I've been on and off with purchasing a gladiator...the time has come. :)
With just a few days left in 2019, I'd like to purchase a rubicon gladiator for 7% under invoice (or better). I'm in Austin TX.
I know folks were getting 5-7% under the invoice for...
A bit off track from your question regarding the standard differences.....the Sport S has the option of the max tow package, which gets you the 4.10 rear axle ratio (and other stuff). I don't believe this is an option on the overland (correct me if I'm wrong). Could be significant for folks...
Boerne Jeep/Ram in Boerne TX has the same ridiculous protection package on many of their vehicles. They advertise VERY competitive prices online (without mentioning the add-ons).....once you get there, BAM! They hit you up with the add-ons. My favorite....$250 for wheel locks,
If you're worried about a manual tranny, go test drive a manual JL. It will probably be easier to find a manual JL knocking around at a dealership than a gladiator.
I've owned over 20 cars with a manual tranny, and the JL/gladiator manual tranny is great. It's in my top 5 best manual...
There is one significant financial advantage with trading in a car. You only pay sales tax on the difference between the new car and what was traded in (this may vary by state). In some cases this could amount to thousands of dollars saved.
The majority of time it has been more advantageous...
Hey,
I saw this beast of a jeep at Best Buy today. It had 42" tires on it. If you remove the spare tire, it'll function as a pick-up truck...kinda
We ordered my wife's 2019 wrangler with the 4 aux switches. Well worth the expense if you intend on hooking up aftermarket goodies.
So far, we've added a light bar on the hood. Took like 15-20 minutes to hook up, just used the connections in the engine compartment.
I'm in Austin TX, and Steven Carrizales seems to have the best pricing...unless you're willing to travel to Idaho. :)
So check this out....
Between 2015 - 2019, I've purchased 6 cars from Nyle Maxwell in Austin:
2015 Challenger Scat Pack
2016 JK Unlimited
2018 Wrangler Rubicon
2018 Wrangler...
The Dodge Demons had ridiculous mark ups as well.
A few people bought them and tried to sell for $50k-100k over msrp. Granted it's a limited produced car...but come on!
Below is the link I found. Man! They seem a bit pricey. I checked one of distributor sites and they had the wheels listed at $480+ per wheel...but they are awfully nice looking :)

Hi,
When I read post here of folks getting 6-7% below invoice, it seems like many have been custom ordered.
What's the likelihood of getting 6-7% below invoice on a gladiator sitting on a dealers lot?
I've been to a few dealers here in Austin and during normal conversation, the sales rep...
Hi,
I was a bit shocked to see that a nearby dealership had a Gladiator with a manual transmission on their lot. Of course, I had to check it out. :)
To no surprise, the manual gladiator drove the same as a JL Wrangler with a manual. I'm a HUGE fan of the manual transmission within the JL so...
Hi,
With manual transmissions just rolling out, it may be too soon for folks to have modified their Gladiator. But, you never know...
Has anyone put 37s on their Gladiator with a manual transmission. What trim (Sport, Rubi) do you have? How does it ride? What are your thoughts? Would you...
