The diesel will hardly notice a 37" tire with the stock 3.73 gearing. When I ran 37s, I didn't bother with a regear and the jeep drove great. It was a negligible loss of power from stock 33s to 37s.
I recently went to Fusion D60's and 40s and am running 4.56 gears. The jeep drives great and...
I'm going answer my own question. Just in case this is helpful to someone at some point in the future.
I moved from Clayton 3.5" springs to RK 4.5" springs after the axle upgrade and 40" tires. The front end linkage was pretty cramped with 3.5" springs. The jeep drove amazingly fantastic...
Looks good! Is that Rebels' coilover conversion in the front?
Long arms would definitely improve the ride quality - no doubt about that, but completely redoing my suspension setup will need to wait a bit - I need to financially recover from the move to 40s and new axles. LOL.
An intermediate...
I have a 2022 JTRD on a Clayton 3.5" lift. The jeep is getting a little work done (Fusion 60s, 40" tires, PSC steering and new driveshafts) and I think I'd like a little more clearance between the tire and fender flare.
I'm contemplating moving to a 4.5" spring while staying with the mid-arms...
I had this issue with my 2 door 2019 JLR. I had no issues otherwise ...just steep climbs. Lots and lots of white smoke while doing steep climbs. Some other folks had the same issue - check out the jlwranglerforum, if you haven't already.
I was told it was a manufacturing issue with the 3.6L...
Looks great! Are those the NV high lines in the front? How was the install for them - any drilling needed? Do they have a DRL/turn signal too? Looks like Nemesis flares in the rear?
What axles did you go with? Are they full width?
I've got Fusion axles ordered...just waiting on delivery so I...
Yes, I do. Mostly out of habit. I'll stop using it and see what happens.
Thanks for the insight. Fingers crossed it helps. I feel like I'm driving a "hooptie" in busy parking lots as I drive slow and squeak the whole time.
I have the same low speed squeak. Have a 22 JTRD with 13k miles. Started noticing the squeak around 10k miles.
Went to a jeep jamboree in TX and the squeak is constant, but random. Did not seem to be related to anything other than going slow.
Back home in FL and it's still there.
Texas Spur is a great jamboree, one of my favorites. It's like a mini-Moab.
I've done it twice in my 2 door JL and plan to sign up for it next year with the JT. I originally thought the JT might be to long. But seems like the JTs did just fine.
Here's my diesel JTR. Artec skids to be installed soon. Getting ready for a Moab trip later this year.
3.5 Clayton lift. Metalcloak control arms, 17" Method 703, 37" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs
Had wheels and tires installed ... lift is in the garage, just need to get it installed. No rubbing driving around town.
17" Method 703, 0 offset with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT 37x 12.5r17
Sorry you are having an issue. For the price, you would think it'd be assembled a bit better.
And i wish I saw this thread before I purchased. My Undercover Ultra Flex should be delivered in a few days.
If the wheels have a bolt on ring, you can paint it any color (use spray paint or have them powdercoated).
Teraflex nomad wheel have an option for a red ring (I think). Also some of the icon wheels have rings .. don't think they offer different colors, though.
It's arrived at the dealership!! Spent a while at the rail yard in GA and was delivered to the dealership this morning. Perfect Christmas present for myself!
Time to book a flight for next week to pick it up.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
I am in a similar boat. My gladiator arrived at the rail yard in GA on December 16th. It's still waiting for a ride to the dealer. I'm hoping to take delivery next week, but who knows.
I live in FL so will grab a flight to ATL then drive it home.
