It might be best to let Edelbrock speak for themselves. I was at the 2018 SEMA Show and personally spoke to the team and have followed up since I don’t live far from them. no idea who you are.
The steering gear is the steering box which is currently aluminum and will now be replaced with an iron box and the associated new hardware. The actual steering pump attached to the motor will stay the same but there will be a software update to control the already in place pump.
It reads to me like it replaces the aluminum steering box with a steel steering box and at the same time replaces the hardware. There's different part numbers because there's two door four-door and left and right hand drive.
One great thing if FCA does put the hemi in the jeep wrangler and gladiator it’ll make Hemi conversions much much easier at least here in California. They would be legal.
Me and my friends attended the four wheel and off-road jamboree in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania every year. In the beginning it was fun. Then the police figured out it was easy pickings. All the cops / state police would sit around the entrance and just wait for you to pull up with your lifted truck...
Also just like to add. We’re all full up out West. was only hypothetically saying move from the East Coast.
Please don’t move to the west were packed , No vacancy. It’s terrible here. It’s hot. Yucky. Stay away.
Small roads, small minds, jealous police, rusty vehicles, illegal weed, tickets for every vehicle infraction you can imagine. Yearly inspection stickers. Lots of rust. That's Pennsylvania where I'm from. used to go to a lot of truck shows and car shows got tickets in Pa, Jersey, Maryland all...
Heres the good news. If Jeep makes any V8 Wranglers and they are 50 state legal that will make Hemi V8 swaps legal in California. In the early 90s when Chevrolet put the 454 in a 1/2 ton pick up SS. It made motor swaps much easier here in California
