So, I'm going to jump in here before the "You're going to vaporize your axles" comments start rolling in heavy.
I originally had no intent to go bigger than 37s on my Gladiator. I have the Max Tow package, which has the slightly beefier D44 wide axles that come on the Rubicon. I've since added...
Went to my dealer for an oil change yesterday and asked about the TSB and he gave me some line about having to make an appointment for them to look at my Gladiator to see if it qualified for the TSB. He said they only get 2 a week or something like that, but basically they have to deem it...
I've searched this forum and the web and can't seem to find anything on the issue I am having. I have a hard Top and I live in Florida. What's happening is when the temps outside drop below 60 in the morning my Sirius XM is stuck on acquiring signal. I can restart the vehicle and no change. go...
Do you get any interference or static with this mount and location. I have the same mount using a Ghost antenna and I get static over the radio when I have my left blinker on. The wire for the blinker I guess runs near there, but I've tried routing the antenna wire 3 different ways and still get...
Depends on the tire you are running. The general rule is for every inch of lift add an inch of bump stop, but tire size and fender height come into play.
The BLD system on the JT/JL is a lot more responsive than it was on the JK. On my old JK I had to get the RPMs up to kick in the system and it made precise throttle inputs very difficult getting over things. With my JT (Max Tow) The system recognizes as soon as there is any slip and immediately...
OP asked and I told him what I ended up with. Measured at the fender with stock wheels by adding Rubicon Springs front and rear with the Rubicon Fox shocks I gained 3/4in front and rear. Gives a softer ride and better handling off road. If you bout a max tow for the towing and hauling then stick...
I have the Sport S Max tow and it did raise me up about 3/4in front and rear before the lift. Since then I added a 2.5in up front and a 3/4in spacer in the rear.
I kind of have a name (Argus) but it's not stenciled all over my JT. It has a meaning to me based on what I do, but I'm more into military themes on Jeeps. Based on my Navy Aviation background and the blue hydro color of my JT I thought a WWII Navy Warbird (Corsair or Hellcat) theme would be cool.
For what it's worth I had 5.13 gears on my other 2011 JKU with the 4 speed tranny and in 4th gear at 70mph I was hitting around 2200 rpm and my mpg was around the same on 35in tires. The real issue is not power. The new JTs have plenty of it with the 8 speed. The issue is going to be wear over...
Just an update. After installing the synergy brace then making the adjustment on the steering box itself my JT finally feels as it should. Unfortunately to get the new steering box done I'll have to return everything to stock, but will def get it done.
Well You're paying a pretty penny for those stickers so flaunt em. I buy Sports because I build my Jeeps up and it's a waste of money to buy a Rubi for me.
