I had bushwackers and aluminum fenders on my JKs. I went aluminum after the bushwackers because I hated how they looked after fading. I never had issues other than that (although my fenders never made contact with anything on the trails). I plan to stick with painted plastic fenders on the JT...
The no loaner thing for warranty work got under my skin also. I had a 2014 JK that had the cracked head issue seen in the early pentastar motors. It took a month to get it back and I had the same thoughts of trading as you. It actually ran better than ever when I got it back and felt bullet...
I’m on my 4th Jeep. Running topless is fun. However, with my kids in the back I tend to just flip the sunrider portion of my top and not run topless so the kids don’t roast. With the gladiator I went the sunrider route. I couldn’t be happier. Come winter/triple digit summer, I pop the...
Short answer is no. I am not sure if the arms and springs could potentially fit but the spring rate is all off for a JK. For the shocks, they mount differently on a JK and need a different style on the top side.
I feel like you need a hilift for some situations and the stock jack for others. For basic tire changes and such that you need to lift the axle, a block or something similar to the arb block for a factory jack is both useful and space saving. 99% of your use will be with this block. Every now...
I still have one rear facing and am able to run her in the middle and the other two on each side in Diono radian seats. I just use the seat belt and upper seat belt bracket to secure them. The rear facing seat in the middle makes all three super secure side to side
When the synthetic rope breaks it falls to the ground. The cable has enough energy to come back and kill somebody. I saw a cable snap and bust out a windshield injuring the driver. From then on I only run synthetic rope winches.
late to the party with your thread. Glad you are happy with the purchase. I was going to suggest what you got based on your intended use. You will probably see me around as I am in San Antonio also.
I got mine in a secondary box. Maybe you can get the vendor to ask ARB for new wire ends shipped direct? With the component logistics issues that may be the quickest route
I do. With my JK I tried not doing all arms and when I finally did, the ride was better. So with the JT I just went for everything. I do scrub a little with 37x12.50s and 4.5” BS. I am swapping my wheels for 3.5” BS. I also recommend the overland brackets if you are not planning crazy rock...
I have 37x12.50x17 on my JT with 4.5” BS and the Evo 2.5” overland lift. I scrub on the lower control arms at full turn during normal driving. I’ve been thinking of running 3.5” like I do on my JK.
Some have been able to make different brand doors fit (some fill the opening better than others). But the JT door is 5/8” longer than a JK door. So it is possible if the doors are long enough
Im a fan of the stubby bumper mainly because I rock crawl. If you do not need the clearance or are more afraid of deer in the road full length may be right for you. After having a stubby on my last 2 JKs it looks weird to me with a full length.
I think it’s the nature of the tires. I’ve experienced the same thing with those exact tires. Had them on my JK, pulled slightly to the right on the highway. Got bead locks for the JK and moved them to the JT, now the JT slightly pulls. The pull moved with the tires from Jeep to Jeep.
