There actually is an aftermarket solution for the hard tri-fold and rack issue here -
https://rhrswag.com/product/hard-fold-tonneau-and-rack/?product_year=2020&product_make=Jeep&product_model=Gladiator
I bought this setup about a month ago and it’s a super high quality rack + cover combo. I...
Got it. Yea for sure let us know if they find any issues that would cause the steering issues to reoccur with the new box. Would be curious to know. Thanks brother! @JTRUBI
@JTRUBI @Skull - Have you guys gone back to the dealer regarding the steering getting worse again yet?
The same thing is happening to me. I had the new steering box installed back in October 2020 and the steering has felt great until now...
Yesterday I had to do a trip on the interstate for...
SO... I'm hyper-aware of my back window because I've had to deal with the dreaded back window leak like so many others here.
My back window ended up having to have to be replaced, and that was an adventure in itself. :)
But I've now noticed after heavy rains (hard downpours), I'll see water...
Wanted to post this here to give you guys/gals first dibs before I put it up on eBay…
This is a hard-to-find part, and is sold out everywhere last I looked (Quadratec, Northridge 4x4, etc)
Looking to get rid of (or minimize) the dreaded steering wander, or loose steering? Or just want to beef...
For me, it would mainly be for surfboards, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. I'd say having a load capacity of 200 to 300 pounds would be way than enough. Look forward to see what you guys come up with!
P.S. @BillieBars - if you need a tester, let me know! :)
@BillieBars - Like another person mentioned, if you all had a set of bars that could be elevated slightly above the hardtop to hold surfboards, kayaks, SUP's, etc (don't need it to hold 1,000 pounds), AND that worked with most bed covers, then you'd have a new customer.
I've been looking for...
I had the same issue. I banged in the nuts as far as they would go using a mallet and the screws would just not catch.
I reached out to their support and they said I had to the correct size screws and wouldn’t send out longer screws.
So I ended up going to Lowe’s and getting slightly longer...
FINAL UPDATE?
So I picked up my Jeep last Friday from the dealership after the glass company repaired the scratches & gouge in my hardtop.
Today I was finally able to snap some good pics of their repair job.
Going in I was incredibly skeptical & 99% sure that the repairs would look like crap...
@pbrevo64 - Sorry to hear that man!! Yea sounds like you are in the same situation as me. Definitely not fun & I hope they take care of you.
After I dropped my Jeep off this morning I pressed my Service Advisor for more answers on what the glass company is going to do to fix the...
@Ravenron - Thanks man I really appreciate the support!
Yea, I have no idea what exactly they are going to do to fix it. I'm like 99% sure the paint won't match perfectly & that it won't be flawless like it was before. I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to play hardball when it's done. We...
UPDATE #2 - From Good To Bad... :-(
So I got a call from my service advisor on the way home this evening...
The glass company wants to try to "fix" my hardtop before they plop the money down to buy a new hardtop. I mean, I get it... the hardtop is expensive... but the same guys that jacked up...
UPDATE:
So I just got back from the dealership.
Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised... they were super nice about it, and very apologetic. They vacuumed out all the glass & dust, and said if I find anymore to come back and they'll remove the seats if needed.
Also, since there is a gouge in the...
@12BNNT - Thanks for the advice! It wasn't an ideal situation when I got there. I was running late to pick up our 2 year old daughter from childcare so I was in a rush. All I was able to do was just glance at the glass from the ground, and I had to go.
I did take pictures before the service...
@midironman - Because I had originally brought it to them for the steering TSB, and for the back window leaking way back on September 1st. It was during that service when I started having issues with the dealership (it’s a long story)… But they tried to re-seal the glass on September 1st and...
THANK you everyone so much for all of the feedback. I really appreciate the support. You guys are awesome!
I’m going to for sure bring it back this afternoon... I would bring it back this morning but I don’t want my kids in the back until the glass is gone so I have to wait for my wife to get...
