Indexed for sure is correct. The spring seats are installed correctly as well. I did notice after reviewing again that the spring seat looks to be warped on the side that is bowing forward. I’m going to get my dealer to replace that as a first step.

It’s most likely linkage issue. Probably too much slack in it and needs to be tighten up so that it doesn’t float around while using the transfer case. It was night and day difference once mine was fixed. Took three visits but it’s been good.

Just spoke to my dealership and they are ordering the replacement. He was told that they don't even have to have proof of this being an issue. Said they have been told to just take the customer's word on it. He has a JL and is ordering the replacement for his as well.
It was not returnable to Mopar and they wanted to get it out of inventory. I am a pretty good negotiator, but it was not a deal that will continue sad to say. It helped that I bought some other things from them too.
