AEV Borah Wheels on your Gladiator?

well I bit the bullet & ordered.. Didnt get the rash rings yet. But when I do I will be copying @Texops & painting them Firecracker Red to match my truck. Gotta go list when I have now so I can buy new tires for these pretty new wheels.

I will probably have the rings before I have the wheels installed. Looking at my current wheels they are going to pay themselves off quickly

I’m waiting for the Salta, but if they’re not what I’m looking for those grey Borahs would look great with a red painted center cap

I should have mentioned that the mounting issue is ONLY if you are using the real bead lock rings. Traditional mounting is fine.

I wanted the JL offset also. In my opinion they fit perfectly under the flares. I did not want 1/2 the tire sticking out on the sides.

How close are the tires at full lock. Apparently I may not be able to run the Borah's with my lift. I know my LCA's are wider then yours, but I estimated I would have a ton of space lift, but the manu is making it sound like im going to rub.

Well the magic brown Santa stopped by.. definitely going to get either the rash rings or bead locks from the get go. That lip is kinda out there.

Nice looking wheels! So, the AEV site lists the weight for the Borah at 33 lbs. Does that sound accurate? I’m sure that is without the optional rings.

Mine showed up today and get mounted tomorrow. When I asked the guy at AEV exactly what color Onyx is, I was told black. But...as I see above and what I got today, it isn’t. Not sure yet what I think. I‘ll have to form an opinion after they’re mounted tomorrow. My Jeep is Granite Crystal Metallic which is a little darker than these. Maybe the rash guards will help.

Interesting...I know their a different model but here are AEV salta xrs in Onyx. The color looks totally different granted lighting plays a role.
