Sounds like a solid project for sure.
A lot of folks also don't understand that labor charges at custom shops are very pricey as well, and add up quickly.
I had a shop do a custom system in my JT recently as well.
All in all I'm $20,000 into it.
Let me tell you, its mind boggling...
You know in some circles (wife), that's considered evidence lol.
Not going to lie, I did the same thing and then presented all the great ideas for the gladiator to my wife before pulling the trigger (Clarification: on the build, not my wife).
I was sure to include pretty font & colorful...
Thatās really cool man. I tired my hand in fiberglass a few years back in a corvette and had nothing to show for it but a huge ass mess and crappy outcome lol. (had no clue what I was doing).
Well done sir.
No problem at all. Went with the Focal's in the front because I've had really great results with them on other projects when used for front speakers. After trying several 6.5" over the years, in my opinion, JL does not make a 6.5" speaker than can take what those do and still sound crystal...
Yes sir, always a favorite.
But with having a 28, 20, 17 and 12 year old, I am completely surrounded by modern beats. Let me tell you, some of these songs now-a-days hit incredibly HARD. Its nuts.
Yes sir totally understandable. Same thing I did.
I had no issue with the DS sound bar, you could be doors off, top off and still hear the music very clear and very loud. Couldn't hear the shallow mount 12's in that situation but you definitely heard the sound bar.
Unfortunately I didn't have...
No sir, not for competitions, I donāt have any interest in that. This system for nothing more than personal enjoyment, just to jam on any given day doing whatever really.
True, there are far larger systems out there without a doubt. My installers were telling me about a gladiator another shop did with (6) 12W7ās via blow through design. Damn!
I suppose better stated, this is the most ridiculous set up Iāve ever had, personally.
Yes sir on the pics. Iāve been...
Thanks man.
Shouldnāt be a problem. The Genisis kit has the main battery shut off when voltage suffers to a certain point. Then the 2nd battery kicks in, while the first battery charges.
If we run into any issues, we will have to figure out a solution. But I agree, definitely wouls prefer...
Upgraded Stereo on the way,
With 4 very active kids ranging from junior in College, down to 7th Grade, we are neck deep into sports, etc which requires a lot of time. So much time, that there is no time to go enjoy what the Gladiator was built for on the trails. I was lucky for about 8 years...
I believe you would be fine with one 6awg feed to cover the items you mentioned. If your on the fence about it, run a 4awg for simple peace of mind.
I am curious as to why you are tying your feed into the starter battery though. Personally, id leave that little joker alone and instead run...
Thanks man. The lift is the Evo 6.5" Coil Over Conversion. The Tires are Nitto 40's, wheels are 20's. Had the axles regeared to 5.13. Also now have RCV axle shafts front and rear. Here is the link to the suspension kit...
