Bought a steel mopar bumper but don't want to pull everything apart until I either: A) know the stock halogen fog lights fit, or B) find a pair of good aftermarket LED lights... Oracle?
I'm deathly afraid of wiring and would need a pretty simple install though. Any recommendations?
My compressor came with just a normal switch, no blue light like I've seen on others. Does this mean I don't need to wire the RED-YEL or BLU-WHT wires?
I don't really want to wire to the ignition if I don't have to. Would prefer just to use the ARB switch since I don't plan to turn the...
I'll need to regear my Sport S to 4.88s when I put on 37s. But I'm having a hard time even getting a quote from some shops. Anyone have any recommendations for a auto shop that will do this? Preferably in the Santa Cruz/Monetery/Salinas area.
Quick question. Have you noticed any performance issues with the clutch, specifically? If you haven't seen, there's another recall out for the 6-speed. I'm frustrated because I was planning on 37s and 4.88s but I'm not sure I trust the clutch now...
Here's my biggest gripe with this, the problem description is nearly identical across both recalls. From March 2020:
"In some circumstances, the clutch pressure plate may become overheated through friction, which may lead the pressure plate to fracture. A fractured pressure plate may crack or...
Beyond frustrated. I just had a $2,500 lift delivered and was about to order 37s. Now how do I know the clutch can handle that, even with regearing? And will they just stick me with the bill for a new clutch if I put those tires on and it breaks? (Yes).
This is a little ridiculous. Hardware...
Is it me, or is the problem description almost identical to the March '20 recall?

Yet, that required a new clutch...
Thanks! I've looked into some of that. Hoping I can get by for a while without some of it. The suspension, tires and regear will be setting me back enough already.
I don't intend to do any rock crawling or towing. It's my daily driver, but I'd like to be able to hit the CA fire roads and do...
I have a Sport S (Non- Max Tow) and plan to regear to 4.88s when I put the tires on (BFG KO2s - smaller end of 37s).
Other than gearing, is there anything else I should think about upgrading? Will be replacing the drive shaft eventually to correct for the suspension but am a little concerned...
Worth a look. I'm still exploring options as I build my Jeep up but the idea was to keep the roof free so 1) no drilling into the hard top and 2) I can take the top off/down! lol
THIS. Two of the pictures show it on the back of a truck bed mounted vertically. I'm gonna have to see how I can...
Looking for an alternative to the Mopar version (reviews sound pretty bad on Quadratec). I prefer to keep my boards out of the bed on longer trips and just in general.
Anyone seen anything else similar to this? I checked Thule and Yakima but they were either out of stock or again, bad reviews...
I have a '21 Sport S (no max tow), painted fender flares, black top, etc. It did come with air dams. I'm sure what you saw was a dealer upgrade/package. Unless you order a premium bumper, they come with that piece in between the bumper and fender flare.
Clayton recommends 4.5"-4.75" of backspacing. But it looks like you'll have rubbing anyway with the 37's so you may not care.
Negative offset sticks the tire (wheel) out further, positive does the opposite. I believe stock sport wheel are +44mm offset, as a reference.
I had a very similar...
