Thanks for the response. Glad you mentioned it mounts below the frame. I have a full artec belly skid plate that I think won't allow this to fit now. Flush on the bottom and removes the parts like the cross bar that hang below the frame.
I did buy the Synergy bolts. Since I had already done the iron steering box service bulletin through Jeep all the bolt sizes were different where it says to reuse bolts. So I had to measure them, find out the original bolt sizes and then use the correct lengths. Steer smarts sent me some...
I ended up installing the Steer Smarts Trackbar reinforcement only. I did not get the one with the sector shaft reinforcement. My axle is sitting a little bit forward so I had to grind a little bit off of one side. I need to move the axle back a little bit and get an alignment done.
I wish I had known it was legal in Illinois to do that. Didn't know at the time. Just went back with a knife to make sure he was dead and get him off the road.
Used these to mount to my bull bar. Got the GoPro Max right before this trip. Didn't know all the best ways to use it but still got amazing shots.

And the Pole...
Do it! I used a cheap amazon 90degree mount and a carbon fiber extension pole that I put a camera tightening bolt in the end so I could make it tight but pull it off by hand. I ran a USB chord up to the camera and back into the jeep to a battery pack. I put a 500GB card in it and ran it all...
Lucky or unlucky my first damage to my Gladiator was a 10 point deer hit. I saw him and sped up so he hit me on the side just behind driver rear door. He dented it bad and tore my fender off, bounced off the wheel and went across the road. Insurance 100% covered but took the sting out of me...
Only damage on the body I have right now is where I layed the jeep onto my gopro. The gopro and mount dented the body right between the front and rear door. So I also don't want to go the armor plating because I don't think it will match up with the body right there anymore.
I have found a...
I have done some gnarly trails with the stock rubicon sliders. I am still on the fence with getting some bigger sliders that would protect more. I don't want to lose any clearance and not sold on the look of most of them. The wife also does not like the look of "step" sliders.
Getting around to editing my videos from June trip to Moab. This three trail day is amazing. If you get the chance it really brings together so many different terrains from around Moab into one day of wheeling. Bring plenty of supplies and tools. One of our guys had a diesel JT that just...
We carry an emergency Sat device with us and try to never travel alone. Sometimes it happens though. We did see a few groups on the trail and seemed pretty well traveled.
There are plenty of passing places on this trail. The very narrow parts aren't very long and you could usually see for aways or see long before you got to that section. Only exception would be a couple blind corners then it is up to trail etiquette. No real big climbs so no yield to uphill...
The wives with us are not big into traditional wheeling where you have to wait for people to get over obstacles and winch etc. They absolutely loved this trail because for them it was just amazing view after amazing view. It is an easy trail with the small things that are just a little...
I always fall back to Safety Third principal from Mike Rowe. Never trust that someone else has your safety in mind. Safety culture tends to make things less safe as people assume someone else is watching out for their own safety. The rental places are pretty bad letting people go out like...
I wouldn't want to get stranded out there, good choice. We had plenty of gear and supplies and satellite link as there is no cell coverage for the whole trail. We stopped for a UTV that sounded like it blew the transmission. It was a rental and they had no supplies. It wasn't too hot but...
Finally getting around to looking at my footage from our Moab trip in June. The trail is amazing! Not technical at all, a stock JT can do it but there are plenty of cliffs to keep it interesting. This is a down and back trail that has the most amazing views that keep getting better as the...
