Those two trails are on my list. We were supposed to do Top of the World but spend a day driving a guy that we met in Moab that wheeled with us for 2 days to get a part and then getting back to his jeep and getting it off the trail. I have heard amazing things about Elephant Hill. Next...
WOW, that is a good bend, and all of them hit them. I guess I have just been lucky so far. The rear Rock Jock is around $1100, I have had a lot of priorities above that right now. I always thought the rear were a little thin compared to how beefy the Rock Krawler front sway bar links are.
The rubicon is definitely on my list but it is at least a 3 day drive to get there. Hope to have a tow vehicle someday.
I don't think I have ever hit my rear sway bar arms on a rock. I have gone through some pretty big rock gardens and have beat the hell out of the rear bumper/hitch as well...
Thank you very much. I have the Rock Krawler 3" Pro-X no limits lift. I am running the Rock Krawler shocks from the kit.
I have been wanting to go there for so long and planned this trip for a long time. It is worth it!
My mind was completely blown going to Moab. I have been off-roading in a lot of places but this was by far the best. The trails were amazing, the scenery was even better. We did mild to wild and even the super easy trails had such amazing scenery it made for fun days. I am just starting to...
Just got back from Moab, it was amazing. We did a lot of trails. We had 2 jeeps but met some people at a couple of the trail heads to wheel with. Most trails were pretty quiet this time of year.
Does anyone run a front track bar brace (with or without sector shaft brace) with the PSC big bore kit? I installed the PSC system and now worried that my frame side front track bar mount is a weak spot. I like the Steer Smarts but they say it isn't compatible with the sector shaft brace of...
We did Chinaman Gulch that Carnage Canyon come off. I won't do that in my Jeep. My buddy won't do it in his but did it with a friend and they ended up winching all day long. We chose Red Cone instead of Mt. Antero because it was on our way home and my buddy had done Mt. Antero.
I guess it started sleeting when we were at the peak. My Gladiator was a bit heavy with all my gear to go home as we tacked this trail on. The 25% downslope after the peak caused us to slide every time we were moving. That second peak on the descent that you go over on the ridge was the...
It is worth it. Just driving the roads between the towns is worth it. The roads to the trails are scenic as well. I found I had my camera in my hand taking photos out the window all the time. Every time I would put it down I would see something new to take a photo of.
A lot of butt clenching on Red Cone, started to snow when we were at the peak. Friend was out there just 2 days later and they had to turn back because the peak was snow covered. Want to try those trails next year.
Buddies Jeep was leaking out of a bad axle seal the morning of Red Cone and...
Was a great area, able to go to some other towns for the evening after running trails. Salida was cool and hit up Breckenridge after doing Holy Cross. The drives between them are just amazing.
Recently took a trip out to Colorado to put the Gladiator on some fun mountain climbs. We stayed in Buena Vista and did the Chinaman Gulch, Iron Chest, St. Elmo to Tin Cup, Holy Cross and Red Cone trails. What an amazing trip! The Gladiator did awesome, drove it all the way out from Chicago...
I see you didn't put the side screw in. I have the painted fenders as well and do not want to put that side screw in. How did you get it to hold down without it? Saw some videos where it is really floppy without that screw and I worry about highway driving.
