Surely they aren't raising the price on JTs. It's already overpriced. I'm still shocked at what features my $54k JT lacks, especially when compared to the competition.
I had Mopar leather and heated/ vented added to my Wrangler. All of it was from Katzkin and I would highly recommend it. Switches were back on each side of the center console. Used the ventilated feature all the time in Austin. Heat was great, especially when we saw -28 in Colorado.
I just looked on cars.com. With the $6500 rebate, I saw some crazy discounts in California, well over $10k off on Overlands. I didn't pay attention to locale but I bet most were So Cal. I went to school in the Bay Area and didn’t recognize any of the dealers.
Refills are generic and really cheap for my other car that has these same type of blades. I buy the 6 mm silicon refills from Amazon, 4 for $10. Just changed mine out and they work great. You'll have to trim them to fit, but that and install is easy.
Had these in my JL and highly recommend them. I'm in Austin and used the cooling feature nearly year round. The heat was great for our occasional cold spells and mountain trips. My Wrangler saw temps from 110 down to -28. Seats made both a little more bearable.
Installed both in my JLU and would definitely recommend. Install was easy enough and I'm sure even easier in the JT. Made a noticeable deference in both sound and interior temps. I'm sure you won't regret it if you buy them.
No background in diesels, but lots of experience tuning turbo engines back in the day. All the engines I tuned had a timing reduction feature based on intake air temps (IAT). Hit the threshold and you drop 5 degrees of timing across the board which cut power and hopefully IATs. Some had a second...
