  1. rausch creek October 3

LCA skids are the #1 upgrade on a JL or JT. They are what hit on trails.
  2. Rausch Creek Nov 6

All the above... LCA skids are about $200 shipped for all 4 corners. I really recommend these for stock-height (non lifted) Jeeps. Me & Nacho hit our LCA brackets a few times each in my stock Willys & his stock Rubicon. I'm down for late October or early November run. Maybe make a weekend...
  3. Rausch Creek 7/11

I'm trying to go through calenders and schedules at both my jobs. I think early November might work for either a trip to AOAA or back to Rausch to try Crawller Ridge. Heck, maybe do both & make a weekend of it. They have camping at Rausch that is either really cheap or free with daily park...
  4. Rausch Creek 7/11

Got home at 10:30pm after a brutal day of work & running errands from 7am to 10:30 pm to see a beautiful brown envelope on the porch. Got my letter & badge today! Sweet!
  5. Rausch Creek 7/11

Awesome. Mine shipped today. Looking good with those tube doors.
  6. Mojave Owners; How Does Your Truck Handle Snow?

Correct me if I'm wrong about Mojave factory setup... Sport = open diff F/R Sport Max Tow & Willys = LSD rear Mojave = rear selectable locker Rubicon = front & rear selectable lockers For packed snow & ice: LDS>open differential>locked lockers. Lockers will slide you right off the road on...
  7. Rausch Creek 7/11

I will check with work to see what weekends we have available in the late October/early November time-frame.
  8. Rausch Creek 7/11

Yeah, Nacho heard my wife yelping whenever we bottomed out, lol. I think we have a handle on a good chunk of Rausch at this point, at least good enough to navigate through Power Line, Trail H, Trail B, Trail 11, etc... without a guide.
  9. Rausch Creek 7/11

LCA skids would have benefited me greatly. That is the one thing that even picking careful lines can't compensate for (you put your tires on the rock, but then LCA bracket kawangs on it as your tires get past it).
  10. Question regarding lifts.

I'm going to talk to my dealership service department. I'm thinking 1" spacer lift would give me the tiny bit of extra distance between those brackets & obstacles without buggering up the geometry. Honestly, the rear LCA are negative to horizontal (they slope downward from axle to bracket)...
  11. Question regarding lifts.

Not much you can do when the top of the 1 foot rock is 6 inches under the surface of the 1.5 foot mudhole. So much for picking lines, lol.
  12. California FS - MPS Overhead Molle Panels Front and Rear

Hardtop version fits both soft & hard tops. Soft top version doesn't have cutouts to access hard top "freedom panel" latches. MPS website tells buyers to get the hardtop model if they run both hard & soft top. I have the hardtop version but run it on a soft top, it was lightly used and a...
  13. Question regarding lifts.

I banged front driver 1x, front passenger 2x, rear driver 1x. (1' rocks submerged in 1.5 to 2' mudholes). If I could just get these LCA brackets up an inch via lift, I would be happy.
  14. Question regarding lifts.

I get that. But many lifts do come with front (mopar) or both front & rear lower control arms. Am I overthinking things, or maybe trying to have my cake & eat it too? I need my JT to pull a trailer up to 4500lbs (well within the safety envelope of my 600lbs tow rating with factory tow...
  15. Question regarding lifts.

So... I've been through many posts on this site and watched many YouTube videos regarding different lift options. One thing stands out. Supposedly the "best" way to maintain factory ride with a suspension lift is to use brackets that relocate your front & rear upper & lower control arms to a...
  16. Maryland MPS MOLLE Frame PRICE DROP!

Thanks Psycho. Now I have a way to mount my CB radio, fire extinguisher, & first aid kit. First "mod" on my JT.
  17. Maryland MPS MOLLE Frame PRICE DROP!

I can pickup in person tomorrow afternoon with cash if still available. I'm working at the gunshow at Frederick Fairgrounds until 3pm, but can pickup around 3:30 or 4pm.
  18. Thinking about trading in my Tacoma for a Rubi…

No such thing. "Long travel suspension" ended with the 1986 model year and its introduction of IFS for the Toyota pickup. That is why a 1986 to 2001 Toyota pickup is worth $3k, and a driveable pre-1985 is worth $8k. Your "long travel suspension" pales in comparison to Toyotas made 30 years...
  19. How do Gladiators handle on the highway?

I wish to God that they would stop making Jeeps for non-Jeepers. The Mojave may enjoy a comfortable highway ride, but that is a byproduct of it being designed for desert racing. Is my Willys with its 32" MT tires too bumpy of a ride for you (even though it rides smoother than my previous TJ...
  20. Virginia Rubicon Rock Rails (body side set)

Very nice. My daughter loved airplanes when she was a toddler. She progressed to going to airshows and became a Blue Angels fan from ages 4 to 8. For her 7th birthday, I chartered a private flight for her over my hometown of Baltimore. She loved it and the smile on the little girl's face in...
