So my LT3 Hakkapeliitta studded have around 10,000 miles at this point and have been flawless. The new studs look brand new even with driving on a lot of dry roads as the snow didn’t start until Christmas Day. We have gotten a few feet since then. They literally pin the Gladiator to the...
John I love your lights and did talk to customer service. They thought it might be a relay, but it is hard to diagnose over the phone. Obviously I’m not the only one with this problem as someone else has the exact same issue. I do love the lights and I can get them to work when I need them...
The first thing we need to realize is that winter driving is different for all of us. Driving in town or on the highway I’d never turn anything off. Where I live there is a lot of open space and often a great deal of blowing and drifted snow. The snow you are going to get soon Papa is falling...
Holing the traction control button down longer will disable more of the stability control systems. You probably only need to do this in extreme conditions or if you want to do donuts in a parking lot. A quick press of the traction control will suffice in most conditions.
I’m going to make this discussion easy. Over the last few days I’ve finally been testing the jt in deeper snow(12+). It will bog down with traction control fully on. At least shut off the basic traction control either by the button or off road plus mode. Now on the highway it is a different...
Mine have been doing the exact same thing since they were installed months ago. No squirrel chewing as they were doing it since new. My guess is that it is a safety feature as the lights are draining the battery below 11.2 volts during the stop/start cycle. I just wait until I’m on open road...
GG will be my next windshield. I have now repaired 4 chips and 3 cracks on my Mojave with 15,000 miles. Thank the heavens for Rain-x windshield repair kits. They are delaying the inevitable, but worth the $8.
I just saw the ss5 with different color led backlights. I currently have the ss3 max yellow fogs and have had them in my stock Mojave bumper and now in a Spartacus stubby. Had a few problems with them staying on during stop/start cycles, but otherwise they are much brighter than my stock...
I drive very fast on dirt, but I’m not going over 6 ft rocks. So to answer your question maybe. I also live in the mountains where deep snow is also a factor, although not this year.
