Just completed a 1200 mile tow including a few hundred miles of mountain running. Ran beautifully. Even passed a bunch of campers and tractor-trailers smoothly.
Towed a 25' boat, motor, trailer, and gas/gear rig weighing around 5,500 lbs.
2021 High Altitude Gladiator, 6,000 lb capacity, all...
Assuming you mean the High Altitude package -- you can certainly get the heated seats, at least for the 2021 MY. Mine has them, and they are sweet even in Florida. Just kept me toasty enough to roll top-down in a t-shirt on the way home from dinner tonight.
Max Tow is Sport model only, but...
I'm usually an extreme badge minimalist and got one of the most subtly badged Gladiators one can buy. I have to say this is amazing with the retro letters spaced just so and the firecracker red. Take that little dealer badge off!
The design of the one I have seems made to have a little give/spring to it. Maybe that's just how I installed it with zero instructions (thanks "Hooke Road"). I kind of like it. Not experiencing anything else like braking or audio going through it.
I have the High Altitude seats. The Nappa leather is a big quality difference and perhaps the best part of the HA package. But my driver's seat is much more worn than the passenger seat after 10k miles. It doesn't look bad and it performs just fine, but it's got a broken in look quite...
Snazzberry! I promise the Snazzberry in real life is vastly better than the Jeep website builder tool. But I also think the Gobi is a swell color on the Gladiator too. Or the Nacho. Pick something unique. It's a Jeep it's supposed to be a funky color.
Can anyone articulate what the third axle actually does besides waste money and suck gas? I guess you could haul around a bunch of boulders in the bed, but why not just get a proper heavy duty work truck with a full sized bed and duallies if you want to do serious hauling?
Add in the flag and...
I didn't buy a Jeep for the toxic greenhouse gas emissions. I can do without them. I live on a barrier island with an elevation of 3' so I take climate change very seriously.
Electrics are strictly better (not just in terms of emissions, but performance potential) and in due time there will...
In addition to the absurd "market adjustments" the two examples above also lay bare the capricious pricing of all the useless dealer add-ons.
One charges $995 for the useless and redundant VIN etching, the other $220.
Theft Patrol, a $1495 option that sounds no different from Apple AirTags...
1. yes, but it's a bit stickier for me now than it was before. Could be the change in angle that the track moves on. Not a big deal as once I get my seat in place I'm not moving it around much.
2. yes.
Finally installed the Seat Slammers after a few months of procrastination.
Happy with them so far. My visibility is improved and the pitch of the seat bottom is less flat and more supportive. Combined with a new dead pedal the long distance comfort is much improved.
My kit from DDI was...
Very happy with my High Altitude. Comfortable and refined ride and has handled all towing and off pavement tasks I've thrown at it with ease. I live in Florida. I'm not going to be climbing mountains but I do want to tow a good sized boat around the state and catch some rays while I do it...
If we're going by the numbers, black cars should be most expensive to insure, followed by gray. Those cars statistically get in the most accidents.
The cheapest cars to insure should be yellow and white, since these cars get in somewhat fewer accidents. It's not about owner personality, it's...
