we went in July. Not the smartest idea Iāve ever had but the showers and little shade it did have was nice.
If it was September or October, dispersed camping all the way.
I stayed here when I was there last summer:

They have at least 2 locations in Moab. I stayed at the one in town. Easier to walk to restaurants...
I used to carry my water cans in this space bc all other available space was used by camping chairs, RTT annex, etc.
Since Iām converting my utility trailer to a camping trailer but still wanting to carry extra fuel and water, thisāll work nicely.
Yeah Iāve been trying to figure out ways to strap down gas and water cans while off roading.
This might be the cheapest option to try although I may also combine both this option and the option from @jn2275.
Thank you both!!
I think Yakima does make a Backbone-like product but double check to be sureā¦
To build on what @HooliganActual said, this is one I keep in the back of my mind once I start modifying stuff: if youāre gonna do extensive traveling, keep in mind the need for parts if something breaks and which...
That sounds epic!! Looking forward to your trips pics and write up!
Is that trail different from the Georgia Traverse? Iāve seen videos of the Traverse. Seems pretty tame but the views are amazing.
May have to add the Georgia Adventure Trail to my growing listā¦

The biggest issues I had was the neutral safety switch going bad, an electrical gremlin that mysteriously went away and slight oil burn. I avoided the more major issues of engine knock or...
There was a gentleman here that fabricated his own.
Iāve only recently come across the only off-the-shelf option from Rebel Off-road.
You can purchase their half-height rack and use their panels to close off the rack. Just donāt know how waterproof or secure it is.
Not really sure which part is loose. I mean, I made it out to Utah and took me to the Top of the World and most of the passes in CO from PA so it canāt be THAT dangerous. More annoying than anythingā¦
I may just get a torque wrench and torque everything down to be safe.
Out of all of the posts...
Would you be able to staple a sheet of the hook side to the headliner?
Cut a sheet of the hook Velcro to the shape of the headliner then glue and staple to the headliner...
LOD Signature Bumper repurposed from my JKU.
I had one prior to this one on my JKU where the winch sat on top of the bumper and I overheated on a trip to WV. Switched to the recessed option and never overheated again.
Fellow eastern PA JT owner here!! Bucks County to be exact!!
Iāve done both the hot heads headliner and dynamat-like material on the floorboards.
I did hot heads bc I wasnāt dropping upwards of $500 for the Coverking plus additional sound deadening materials. Hot heads works well enough.
I...
